I don't know, I've been out of here all day, but this to me is very serious information. Today on NPR, I basically heard that Comey, at the time acting AG, was uncomfortable with the NSA spying program and wouldn't give the WH the "releases" (??) it needed. So Andrew Card and Alberto Gonzalez (at the time WH counsel) went to Ashcroft's hospital bed to get him to overrule Comey.

And he didn't.

This should be HUGH!!!!1111, no?

I mean, I understand that Abrahamoff, blah blah blah, the miners blah blah blah, but Bush's OWN attorney general wouldn't sign off on this warrantless searching and that doesn't spell Impeachment Proceedings Start Tomorrow?

???

1. Yes, all true. Ashcroft was in intensive care, no less.
Neither Comey or Ashcroft would give the spying their blessing, so these neanderthals did it anyway (no disrespect to neanderthals).
