Did Cheney actually hunt down 70 birds ?
In dickhead cheneys confession today he stated the Whittington went to retreive his downed bird.

I wonder if Cheney actually chased down all 70 of his birds ??? Thats alot of walking aroung for a guy with bad knees a bad heart.

I dont think they were retreiving their kills . I think tricky dick and ole larry werent meeting eye to eye on something and ole dickhead shot him.

1. They were tamed, farm bred birds who could barely fly
If that's 'hunting', then so is grabbing a lobster out of a tank at a restaurant.

4. When shooting them pratically in a cage...
you can kill quite a few. Of course, this makes you less a "hunter" and more of a "cowardly prick".

11. Think about it
its not like they just sit on the ground, they do fly just not that far.
OK say dick has on fly up 15 yards from him and blasts it , thats 15 yrds X 70 pretty good for a walking heartattack

12. Maybe this is more Dick's speed...Internet Hunting!
Legislation to ban Internet hunting gaining steam

By The Associated Press
Sunday, February 5, 2006

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Maryland is poised to join a growing number of states in banning Internet hunting, a cyber-age activity that even some avid outdoorsmen consider unsporting.

It allows a person viewing a Web site to remotely fire a gun at live game.

"It's really a terrible idea," said state Sen. John Astle, a hunting enthusiast who is among the key sponsors of legislation that would prohibit the practice. "The idea you can sit in your computer room, maybe thousands of miles away, just flies in the face of the hunting ethic."

<snip>

She said she knows of just one such Web site, Live-Shot, which stopped offering the activity after its home state of Texas banned Internet hunting last year.

Live-Shot owner John Lockwood didn't respond to interview requests. A message on his Web site laments the loss of a technology that enabled even severely disabled people to shoot game: "Prior to the ban, we proved that with determination, practice, patience and perseverance, a man who thought that he would never have an opportunity to hunt again was able to harvest an animal while bound to his ventilator in his room."

6. drive, get out, walk 15 feet, shoot 20 birds as you turn, repeat.
at least that's what it sounds like to me.

tame quayle hunting doesn't sound much like skeet shooting, which is what most non-hunters think of when they hear "bird hunting".

8. If you miss, just pick up the birds, put them back in the cage, try again
You think maybe Harry was picking them up one at a time and tossing them back into the air for Dick to shoot them?

9. Only 70?
I'd read the count was over 400 quail and an 'undisclosed number of mallard ducks'...I think it was on Yahoo that I saw that.
Made me just sick, I'll tell ya...that's not hunting.
That's just out and out slaughter for the hell of it.

10. There is no "hunting" about it
it is killing. They even spin the birds and place them with their heads under their wings so they will go to "sleep" and stay put.

Penned birds are not smart, they cannot fly well, and they are just basically living targets. It is killing and only a psychopath would enjoy going out and killing 70 pen raised birds.

Most of us hunters consider guys who belong to those "clubs' as ONE OF THEM.

I am going on a two week fly in hunt for moose in September. It is brutally tough, but incredibly challenging, just staying alive in the Alaskan Bush for that long presents its challenges. THAT is hunting, Dick kills.

17. Because my family and I live off the land
and that is the lifestyle I chose. We only eat meat and fish that we go and get ourselves. It keeps us healthy and grounded to nature.

20. Moose is very good
it has the texture of beef, but zero fat. It tastes like mild venision, which some people call 'gamey', but that taste is really just what mature meat that is not corn fed for 90 days tastes like. It makes excellent roasts and great burger. The steaks like any wild game can be very dry, so it is best cooked slow.

Caribou is very delicate meat with almost no texture. It is almost like liver in consistency, but also nice.

Elk is milder than moose, and very similar.

Deer is stronger tasting than all of them, but there is just nothing like a deer roast.

Dall sheep is marbeled like beef, and is the finest piece of meat out there.

Mountain goat can be tough and strong. It is great in Mediterranian dishes like TaJin or other Moroccan dishes.

Bear is very greasy like pork, but is a darker meat. It is excellent smoked in hams or ground and made into sausage.

Halibut has almost no flavor at all. I love it deep fat fried.

Tiger prawns taste like little lobsters.

Razor clams are the shit! Deep fry or clam chowder.

Red salmon is good on the barbeque.

King Salmon is delicious and my favorite way to eat is in sushi

Silver salmon is good fresh or smoked, it does not freeze well.

I won't eat pink salmon, it is considered trash fish up here.

Dog Salmon is good smoked. It also does not freeze well.

Grouse and ptarmigan are dark meat, they are great baked slow and served with polenta.
