I didn't know this about Sureshot Tricky Dick
I simply did not realize that he needed a medical team to travel with him. Is he that frail to do his job that he needs a medical entourage? I am sure this is all paid for by us, the taxpayers. Is this normal? And who is paying for all these trips around the states so he can indulge in his hunting habit? I don't mind presidents and vice-presidents taking vacations here and there. After all they are human. (Actually I know Sureshot is some sort of robot) However, I would love to see a GAO report on leisure travels for pretzelnut and Sureshot.

1. Oh, but remember that the V.P.
refused to turn over his office's travel records for audit purposes.

5. That has escaped me, but that can't be legal.
On what grounds? Wait. Don't tell me, national security. :eyes:

7. Here ya go:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/28/AR2005112801446.html

<snip>
David S. Addington, then Cheney's general counsel, noted that the reporting requirement applies to the "head of each agency of the executive branch."

"The Office of the Vice President is not an 'agency of the executive branch,' and hence the reporting requirement does not apply," wrote Addington, who this month replaced I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby as Cheney's chief of staff.

8. Grrr ...
I missed that. What gaul this man has!

OK, chief, then what is the Office of the VP a part of? Is it part of the legislative branch? Or is it the judicial branch? No? Then it must be the executive branch, asshat, cuz that's the only other option.

Please, please ... let this man go, quickly!

This is disgusting. I guess we had hunting outings with a full medical team along to this.

Yet, according to the center's research, Cheney has given 23 speeches to think tanks and trade organizations and 16 at academic institutions since 2001 -- apparently all at taxpayers' expense.

2. Gee.. d'ya think that's the kind of health care he'd support for EVERYONE?
I think the answer to that becomes a litmus test for what distinguishes a liberal from a conservative. (I wonder how DLCers would answer it.) :dunce:

4. Haliburton made sure he could pay for the medical team, but
I seriously doubt that is happening.

6. He's had several MIs, bypass surgery, a pacemaker -
he also probably has gout and congestive heart failure. What he was doing wasn't hunting; it was standing in one spot and slaughtering tame birds.
