RW Theme of the Day: "I was traumatized by _[my own incompetence]_"

Dick's accounts for shooting a man by saying, "it was the most traumatic day of my life." (Yeah? It was a pretty bad day for Whittington too!")

Chertoff accounts for his actions during Hurricane Katrina by saying it was personally traumatic. (Yeah? It was even more traumatic for a lot of people who died, lost their houses, and lost everything they owned, so fuck you.)

What's with this "it's all about me and my feelings" attitudes when it's so obvious that they aren't the people whose feelings we should care about?

I feel like I'm listening to one of those stupid NPR commentaries where white middle class people talk about how hard it is to have to buy their kids used cars, or how hard it's going to be when their kids who don't have adventurous palates go to Spain for the annual family vacation!

1. So much for the WH leadership. Dick is a chickenhawk.
