10. "public corruption is up 90% since 2001." now on CNN 8:30 est
Right now, on CNN, Alice Fisher, Assitant Attorney General with the Criminal Devision of the US justice department just said in a press conference, that "Public corruption is our number one priority" and that "public corruption is up 90% since 2001."

That's a hell of a statement, and in and of itself an indictment of this administration, IMHO.

15. Good stuff on the SPAN right now. Does this Grosh guy
come across as drunk on TV, or is it just a problem with my dial-up feed?

16. He comes across as dumber than dirt
I don't think it's your feed at all.

He offered this kid a position. When the kid asked what he had to do, he told him nothing. "Seemed like a good deal".

He's kind of funny. At least he answered the questions, as opposed to Mr. Mann there.

17. Yes, Mann is the 5th Amendment guy, right?
I love when they have to keep reading their the 5th statements over and over. I hope they ask him lots of questions.

As for the kid, I guess he's just a regular guy, a know-nothing shill, a guy with a name to put on a check, and that makes it all so easy to understand.

20. Yes,, Mann was the "fifth" guy and
Grosh was rfefreshingly honest, considering where he now finds himself. He knew he didn't have any credentials but wasn't going to pass up the chance to have "Internatgional Director" of anything appear on his resume. He was a flunky but bristled a bit when he was given the out tgat he was a flunky. The "I am an adult" comment was way left field. I took that to mean "I'm dumb but I'm not stupid".

21. and boy, is she defensive!
"Not something we are going to ever do again" ... "We had never had a grant this large before" ... "We will never do this again without the paper work" ...

She seemed like she got screwed because she wanted to believe them so badly.
