President Bush revealed Monday he knew Saturday night that Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a hunting companion at the Armstong Ranch, located in south Texas.
But the shotgun accident wasn't made public until yesterday by a Corpus Christi newspaper.
KHOU-TV
Shooting instructor Donovan Lamar shoots a gun similar to Vice President Cheney's.
Corpus Christi is where 78-year-old Harry Whittington is said to be recovering well from being sprayed with birdshot. (um...no he's not.)

As for why it took almost 24 hours to alert the public to the situation the White House told reporters its first priority was making sure the victim had received immediate medical attention
(And sobering dick up, makin' sure Harry didn't buy the farm...or ranch)
The ranch owner said the vice president was using a 28-gauge shotgun and Harry Whittington was about 30 yards away. (Um...no, maybe 30 inches...maybe just far enough not to get powder burns}
What type of harm can a gun like that do to a person from that distance? (almost none)
Lamar and others at the range said they've been hit, or "peppered" before, and they believe 90 feet is enough to slow down "pellet speed", meaning minor injuries. )YEAH, LIKE A HEART ATTACK, and having having the bb's go through your chest wall into your heart!
"It'd be like taking some dirt here and just throwing it at you. And mainly you just feel it hitting you like raindrops. Well even a little harder than raindrops obviously," said Lamar.
