See the work of the Democrats really works and keeps us safe. What other reason could there be that Cheney has not shot anyone else in the face? Democrats keep you safe...Anyone see any similarities between this and their rhetoric claiming no new terrorist attacks so Republicans keeping us safe?

3. Which is why we should all move along, now
Sure, there are lots of unanswered questions (questions such as, will the victim survive), but now that Cheney has bravely come forth to smack a few softballs from his bestest buddy Brit Hume and manfully conceded that because he was holding the shotgun it's probably his fault, can't we all just leave the poor guy alone?

That, at least, seems to be the recurring theme today in all sorts of venues: Cheney said it was his fault, now leave the guy alone! Odd, though, that when someone admits fault, there's usually some sort of punishment or consequence to it. And I'm not talking about some state fine for not having a lawyer shooting stamp on his hunting license, either. We haven't gotten even a quarter of this story, and the popular media seem to be leading public opinion to the "quit asking about it" meme.

4. Someone should photoshop a sign in front of the white house...
you know those signs at factories that say "106 Days Without an Injury", and they have changeable numbers that they update each day.

Well, a sign like that, but it would have the number of days sincee the last VP shooting. And it would have "crossed out" the number of days between (Hamilton or Burr or whoever it was that shot a guy way back when) and Cheney's shooting.
