I still love Lucy. Here is a great wide-ranging interview with the Queen of Comedy circa 1980:

How do you feel about gay rights?

"It's perfectly all right with me. Some of the most gifted people I've ever met or read about are homosexual. How can you knock it?"

Another Lucy story--she tells of attending a Hollywood dinner at Steve Allen's house and the other couple comes late--Ronald and Nancy Reagan--and guess what? They were late because they had stopped to watch a UFO. She wondered if she had made this known if Reagan would have been elected president.

1. A funny woman and as saavy as a business woman as I can think of
She and Desi created Desilou Productions and with it many of today's TV classics.

2. I've seen every episode of I Love Lucy
about five times each, and I STILL laugh out loud every time. God bless her, if only Desi hadn't been such a cheating bastard.

3. I read a good book on the two of them
The really never hated each other according to one reliable source. They just fell out of love.
