Oh great, Fred Phelps weighs in on the Mohammed cartoons
He's asking people to send the most offensive cartoons of Mohammed they can make to him and he'll distribute them worldwide in order to "expose blasphemous Islam."

I know that he gets plenty of media attention, so I'm worried as to whether or not this might turn into something big yet again. Thoughts?

1. I'm prolly gonna regret typing this...
...in fact I KNOW I'll regret it, but I can never resist the really cheap ones...

I think we should send him the most offensive anti-Muslim cartoons we can find, in abundance.

And a free airplane ticket to Riyadh.

wickedly,
Bright

5. No, no, let's just send him Quail hunting with the VP
Sending him to the ME would just make him a martyr to his followers.

2. Everything he says and does is offensive to nearly everyone...
so this would hardly be a change of pace for him...

3. Lets tatoo one on his forehead and set him loose in Karachi at night.
We'll see just how brave Fred is.

4. Probably. He gets plenty of free buzz around here.

I can't figure out if that's good or bad. On the one hand I say ignore this insignificant hate clown, but then one the other I think highlighting him undermines every hateful cause he campaigns for. He's done alot for gay rights by showing it to be the ignorant hate that it is. Better him to represent the haters than some polished Repub who can conceal his/her hate with fancy language. He has about as much credibility and sophistication as a hillbilly themed pro-wrestling heel from the 1980's.

6. Maybe it will pay off, and then his fans would
have a martyr . . .

(remember, to be a martyr, you have to be dead . . .)
