Want to see the letter Marsha Blackburn printed in our local paper?
She sent this in as a letter to the editor.....

Dear Friends,
I wanted to let you know that the Deficit Reduction Act has been signed by the President. If you don't remember, this is the bill we had pushed late last year to enact $39 billion in spending reductions. It's amazing the fight some put up over even this level of reduction, but we'll keep working on the issue. This is a great start.
I've also got my across-the-board spending cut bills in the hopper and I hope we can see those used to guide overall reductions this year as we work on the budget.
On another note, last year the House passed an extension of the Sales Tax Deduction in which would expire after this April. I was glad to see the Senate pass an extension last week and we're excited about the great progress. Hopefully we'll have a final bill reconciling both the House and Senate provisions soon.
This is going to be a tough year on Capitol Hill. The left is extremely upset with the growing momentum among House conservatives to reform entitlement spending and reduce overall spending. They're going to smear people like me in the newspapers for supporting spending reductions and I fully expect the tactics to reach levels close to those used against us when we battled the state income tax. The big media and the newspapers that have always opposed our philosophy of government is going to be taking swipes at me and the rest of us who want to see smaller government.
I'll keep you updated.
My Best, Marsha

I wonder why she didn't mention the $70 Billion tax cuts she plans to use to INCREASE the deficit? Is that question "smearing" her? :puke:

I have sent in a reply to the paper already.

1. I really dislike that woman.
She was testifying in the Senate yesterday. Struck me as a little unusual, but I just acquired C-span2 so I don't know. I do know she is a Class A jerkette though.

2. I detest her....
I live in her district. Hopefully, the Democrats will have someone decent to run against her this year.

The woman wouldn't know the truth if it bit her in the rear. I call her a Frist-mini-me.

Yeesh, what crap! Why don't they have the guts to just come out and say what they really want:

"We're making progress in our goal to make sure none of us ever have to worry about having to care for the unfortunate in our society again and that government will not interfer with our freedom to exploit the working and the poor. We are so proud of the gains we've made so far!...."
