Anyone just see the CNN International guy chew up the Pentagon? |
|
The silver-haired guy kept badgering the mealy-mouthed Doogie Pentagon boy for an answer as to who decided not to allow UN investigators to visit Gitmo prisoners "without elaborate Pentagon restrictions."
It was actually a tense exchange, but Doogie Pentagon boy refused to answer. He just said, "We talked about it, and we decided."
The Pentagon is trying to claim that they "invited" the UN, but the UN turned them down.
What a crock!

2. What was up with that? |
|
Clearly this guy must be new. All the media operatives know that asking real questions is forbidden unless they have been cleared by BushCo beforehand. I imagine this guy is on his way to doing the weather in some small 'burg.

5. that was Jim Clancy and he opted for the international program |
|
because he is a journalist and will do that. The international feed is 100 percent different than the shit we get. I've seen it over there and they tell the news and give the world too. It makes me weep. I hope you enjoyed that. The world gets it 24/7 because CNN knows they won't accept less.

6. How can things be so different in the US |
|
version? Is it based on what they think people will watch, or censorship by the bosses, or just timidness from US reporters? Clearly CNN is able to give good reporting when they feel like it.

7. All of the above. Journalism is just a different type of profession |
|
in most of the world. In the US, national journalism is an entertainment-oriented business. Most other places, it is a social calling.
