Poll question: The administration of George W. Bush is treasonous. |
|
They have not preserved, protected, or defended our US Constituition. They have collaborated and profited with enemies of our nation. They have committed crimes against humanity. Agree or disagree? Comments?

2. 1 and 3 are not treason. |

They're pretty evil, but not treason.

3. 1 and 3 are crimes, 2 is treason |
|
and there are individuals and groups in this administration that fall into #2 imo.
No one is above the law.

8. I didn't say they're above the law. |

I would love to see W behind bars. But I was just pointing out that the thread header was misleading.

To protect and defend the constitution is one of the few things spelled out in the oath of office. If you are actively trying to subvert the Constitution of the US you are committing treason by definition and are what the oath calls a "domestic enemy".

6. sorry, but its not treason |
|
Treason is specifically defined in Article III of the Constitution as consisting "ONLY in levying war against or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and comfort." The Constitution goes on to specifically require the testimony of two witnesses "to the same overt act" or a confession in open court for conviction.

By subverting the constitution you are provideing aid to the enemies of the Constitution and are thereby committing treason. I don't see how it can be looked at any other way. When the oath and the Constitution talks about giving aid, it's not just giving material aid, IMHO.
