GOP candidate for Vermont open seat
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 02:34 PM by burythehatchet
says she would DECLINE help from Bush!!!

Shown on CSPAN crawl.

Gotta love it.

He would also call for impeachment:
Dennis Morrisseau, 62, of West Pawlet, plans to seek the Republican nomination to run for U.S. House of Representatives. The seat is being vacated by Rep. Bernard Sanders, I-Vt., who plans a run for the U.S. Senate.

A central part of his platform, Morrisseau said, will be bringing articles of impeachment against Bush.

2. A RINO actually if there ever was one
He's ran as a Democrat before and was a cofounder of the Liberty Union Party which was Bernie's old group. I have a feeling he will not go over very well with Republican voters. Maj. Gen. Martha Rainville is the main Republican candidate for the House seat.

3. Agitent (sp?) General Martha Rainville just retired from VT nat guard
to run for the house seat that Bernie is vacating. She's running as an R but also refuses the GOP money machine. She's much more high profile than Morrisseau, she definitely has the lead in the primary and will put up a better fight against Peter Welch (dem state senator). She doesn't like a lot of the chimpy's policies including the war.

Rich Tarrent (R) is already dead in the water against Bernie for senate, he's involved in a tax scandle, and the only money in his campaign is his own, now at 1.8m

4. Yep.
More whacky VT politics. Who could forget the epic race between retired dairy farmer Fred Tuttle and multi millionaire flatlander Jack McMullin. (McMullin lost and Fred endorsed Leahy.) Anyone remember republican transsexual Karen Kerin?

5. I love Vermont politics.
The Senate debates in 2004 were priceless, the woman from the Make Marijuana Legal Party of Vermont kept forgetting what she was debating.

6. Were the hands in plain sight? (warning, picture)
remember the Clinton "coercion" picture?

Was Dennis' hands in plain sight when he said he would call for impeachment? (Or maybe he was talking about re-impeaching Clinton . . .)
