Man Shot In Accident After Laughing At Cheney
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 12:22 PM by Freddie Stubbs
(AP) LAFAYETTE, Colo. Hours after laughing about Vice President Dick Cheney's hunting mishap, Josh Kayser was himself shot by a friend during a hunting expedition.

The 21-year-old Lafayette man was taken to the hospital Monday night after his girlfriend accidentally shot him while they were trailing a raccoon that had been preying on chickens on his family's property.

"I read that thing about the vice president and said to myself 'how can you shoot your friend with your gun?' And look what happened," he said Tuesday.

19. Freeper Maybe, Staged? Give Me A Break!
She was probably pissed at him and shot him when they were out in the woods and then she freaked out and they came up with an explanation for it so she wouldn't face charges.

11. Not likely.
Lafayette is pretty liberal; it's a suburb of Boulder, (AKA The People's Republic of Boulder) and when the story was initially reported, this comment was not in the reports.

I'm three degrees from the guy, (he's a friend of a friend) and knowing how utterly impatient my friend is with freepers, it's not at all likely that he's freeperish.

We're not all Colorado Springs lunkheads out here. Most of us from Denver north to Loveland, and in the mountains are pretty darn liberal. We're a swing state for a reason.

2. A man here shot and killed his teenage daughter a few years ago.....
...after she hid in her closet when she and her friend weren't supposed to be home and he thought they were prowlers....he opened her closet and BLAM...no charges filed...the reason given...he'd suffered enough already....the imbicle said in a follow up interview a couple years later that he still has his guns and he believes he was just protectin' his property... :evilfrown:

since last weekend. And we'll hear about every one of them in the next two weeks, whether they're real or not.

12. Why are people here ganging up on the victim?
I must have missed something - people are calling the guy a freeper because he made fun of Cheney? Or because his (idiot) girlfriend shot him?

Why are people saying he should rot in jail? It doesn't sound like he did anything wrong, unless I missed part of the article.

13. I think you may have gotten confused..
The poster saying the guy should be in jail was referring to the man who shot his daughter thinking she was a prowler.

15. Message: STOP MAKING FUN OF VEEP
His whole mystique is made up of his hard-nosedness and seriousness! He is not a laughing stock! Making fun of the veep is selfish and wrong!

It's comical how the panic of their own ridicule sets in with these douchebags. It really is.

20. Major differences here
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 10:11 PM by Art_from_Ark
Colorado victim's girlfriend is more than likely a very or totally inexperienced hunter, who was chasing a raccoon at night. Cheney is supposedly an experienced, er, hunter, with supposedly many years of experience ("it comes with living in *cough* Wyoming") who was shooting fish in a barrel, er, quail, in daylight.
