Doctor: Whittington is walking around in hospital

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/cheny-shooting-victim-on-the-mend/2006/02/17/1140064226970.html

<snip>

Harry Whittington, the hunting companion accidentally shot by US Vice President Dick Cheney, is walking around in hospital, doctors said today.

Whittington is still in an intensive care room and has no television and so has not seen the international coverage of the shooting, hospital spokesman Peter Banko told a press briefing.

...

But David Blanchard, one of the doctors treating Whittington, said the 78-year-old lawyer was "walking around" at his private room in the intensive care unit and would probably be allowed home in about five days.

2. Fine, let him talk to the cops, then.

And if he's well enough to walk around, put him in a regular private room because he's taking ICU space from a paitent who might actually need it.

3. Dr. Blanchard is making the same mistake Cheney did
That wasn't Whittington walking around the hospital, it was a quail.

4. Is he taking depositions in prep for a civil suit???
No pics means his face looks like shit. The police report suggested he got a good blast on his right side.

7. Walking around . . . but still no statement by him.
Okay . . .

Ya know, if I should live to 100 I'll never understand rich, powerful people . . . and what goes on inside their skulls. It's as though they are a different species. I've never been able to relate.

Not that I'm losing sleep over it, mind you . . .

8. I bet when he 'goes home'
they do it in secrecy - "to protect his privacy'. Then we never hear of him again...
