I agree GOP relative - liberals in the military are hurting war in Iraq
Had a right wing relative complain about the liberals, everything is their fault. Folks in the military that are complaining & not doing their job are liberals. Officers complaining about lack of armour are liberals. Everything evil & bad is liberal. Liberals are always attacking the administration, who is just trying to protect us. My answer:

So lets kick the liberals out of the military & replace them with those that voted for Bush. In fact, that should be the new criteria for military service. If you didn't vote for Bush then get out now, so you can be replaced with a loyalist. Close all the recruiting places in Democratic leaning parts of the country & move the to the GOP suburbs and rural areas. Maximum age for military has been moved to 42, so your two sons have no excuse to join. In fact, I'm surprised they aren't in Iraq already. They better hurry up since according to 'Dead-eye'Dick the insurgents are on their last throes. Might not be any left once they are out of boot camp.

Relative is a big Rush listener & all they watch on tv is faux news. Lots of folks like that out there. They are getting more & more frustrated by all the criticism of Bush & 'Dead-eye' and are lashing out with their true feelings. The more they yelp the better I feel.

1. Yeah, conservatives would be better--they could leave their body armor
at home, for use by Vice Presidential hunting parties....

3. Sounds good to me.
In fact, my former boss' step-son has dropped out of school and is enlisting when he turns 18 this spring. He said he wants to be "on the front lines." I say send him and bring a liberal home. :patriot:

18. Yes, it is sad. The mother doesn't even want her son joining
the military; she's trying to talk him out of it. Step-dad can't stand the kid, so he's all for it.

Did you ask him why he thought things in Iraq weren't just ducky? I mean FOX claims that everything is going along swimmingly. How did he come to the opposite conclusion? And why does he hate America?:wtf:

7. Great response. Encourage them to do recruitment drives of,...
,...Bush loyalists!!!

When they begin service, the Bush loyalists are obliged to bash the hell outta' of those recruits when they complain about ANYTHING.

9. Big deal!
A good friend of mine, a person whom I held in high esteem and in whom I placed my closest confidence, told me point-blank my anti-war stance and the fact I don't support the mission in Iraq *really* means I don't support the troops and am complicent in their death and injuries.

This has hurt me and has strained our friendship (though I haven't told him).

14. Even conservatives who criticize are considered liberals..
I know you are right, but they are at a point where anything bad is liberal even if it comes from a conservative military officer. My dad was a West Pointer & he was liberal - big Jimmy Carter fan. He was the exception to the rule. My mom was a big Reagan supported, I was too - til I woke up.

16. I think any & all politicization of the military is a very slippery slope.
By that, I mean Bushco constantly using the military as backdrop for what are essentially campaign speeches, polling the troops on political affiliation, and the overall use of the military by this administration as a tool of a purely political agenda.

Civilian oversight of the military was never, imho, meant to mean civilian manipulation of the military for political ends.

I don't think I've ever seen such blatant manipulation of rank and file soldiers as a means to manipulate the electorate.

Not a good thing for a democracy.

17. There's a freeptard disruptor at the Bill Press site who "claims" he's 14
and wants to enter the military when he's of age . . . claims he's home-schooled, so that's why he's always there with some stupid freepturd remark as soon as they put up a new topic.

I told him he should do the Repuke thing and lie about his age and enlist.

He got all huffy on that one . . .

19. Yes, Chuck Hagel is a real liberal!
I think he scores 100% from the Christian Coalition, those secular tree hugging pinko commies who believe that church & state should be separate; and he scores 0% from NARAL.
