WH operate on it's own accord, because it seems to me that the Congress is doing nothing more than converting O2 into CO2.

This whole news about the Roberts/NSA/WH deal really has me in the dumps.:cry:

I just want to get rid of all of them - they are useless and in fact they are hurting us more than helping.

to walk around and do nothing for us, but do everything they can to secure the WH's policies.

Seems kind of redundant having two branches walking in lock step together.

At least then we wouldn't be under the delusion that Congress would actually do their job - check and balance the other branches of Capitol Hill.

12. What if we the people became the Congress?

I am not a lawyer--but I actually see no practical need -- for the Congress. I have no technical knowledge of government and politics, but a brief review of the laws written by and for the Congress, seems to benefit the Congress but not the people they claim to be representatives of.

Take the Gonzo Wiretapping hearings as an example of a fallen system. Congress: We are the check and balance, we write the laws. Gonzo: You have no power and authority to be a check and balance, we made a secret law which says so. Congress: Tell us what the secret law is in secret, then we will make your secret law a law.

If I had my way I would dissolve the CIA, and close down all corporate control of the media, and put it in the control of ordinary citizens -- made up of the best of the best in the artistic, and liberal organizations.

I would cut the military budget by 90%, and ban all nukes (military or Nuke plants)

Ban all guns and hunting.

Develop free health care for all people

Develop free health care for all animals.

Create a non-violent army, Air-Force, Marine Corps and Navy.

Create a Department of Non-Violence to replace the Department of Defense.

I would pull all troops out of offshore bases, and revoke all current wars, and seek an International resolution outlawing all war.

Forgive all debts -- internationally and in the United States.

Outlaw the NRA.

Increase International funding for health, education, and well being to 5% of our budget.

Seek the elimination of all cars-to be replaced by environmentally safe mass transportation.

Join the Kyoto treaty nations to stop Global warming.

Increase the welfare budget to house, educate, and give health care to all in the United States.

I would eliminate personal income taxes and only tax Corporations.

Make racially or anti-Semitic, etc. speech a hate crime under the law -- similar to how the Germans outlaw -- Nazism language.
