B-r-r-r-r-r-i-i-i-i-n-n-ng! NPR calling!
I just had the exquisite pleasure of telling an NPR rep exactly why I haven't sent them a check for two and a half years. I know you folks know where I'm coming from, but it just felt so GOOD to have a chance to vent my displeasure. To her credit, the rep was apologetic and assured me that "changes were being made" which might address my concerns. Yeah. I won't hold my breath.

2. AAR has its own problems,

like being chinsy about their podcasts. What, nobody can sell ads for their podcasts? Sounds like a personnel problem to me.

The stream they do still allow on some shows (I only listen to Rachel Maddow so my knowledge is limited) won't let me skip forward or backward. So if Realplayer chokes on buffering you have to listen to the whole bleeding show over again.

Up until now I didn't miss a single show for months, Since their policy change at the beginning of this month I can sit through maybe 1 a week.

So Sad. I can't wait until RM gets picked up by a real network.

I'd rather give my money to DU.

I thought it was supported by public money so you would not have to hear the same 20 ads 400 times a day.
