O'LOOFAH to Tony SNOWjob; "Was it THIS BAD under CLINTON?"
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 08:21 PM by UTUSN
And before you get your hopes up that the question referred to the nation's business:

He was talking about----get this-------HATRED of Clinton AS BAD as hatred of Shrub! And O'LOOFAH said it with an UNCTUOUS, FAKE "innocent" tone.

In a rapidly disappearing undertone, SNOWjob said, instantaneously, "NO!" Then he skipped on to say that CLINTON supporters would say it WAS this bad.

Oh, no----hunting down, cornering, and AbuGrahibbing CLINTON was-------NOTHING! like this. Oh, no, FAKE impeaching was NOTHING like this eternal asslicking Shrub has gotten since Campaign 2000.

2. WTF?
O'Loofah thinks the hatred of * was worse than the hatred of Clinton? No, it's not worse. We hate * for the things he has actually done. THEY hate Clinton just BECAUSE he's Clinton.

3. Thank You for reporting on this Faux stuff
I avoid them as much as possible as I feel it's bad for my son's mental health to witness his mother whiping her slippers at the boob tube repeatedly.

20. So you do that, too, OnceUpon?
Occasionally, when we know it's going to be a gagfest, my hubby surrounds me with pillows to toss. I nearly took out our new TV during a Shrub "speech" once..........

Still on the Big Dog......... sigh. :(

7. O'Reilly actually called the Hartford Courant "left wing"
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 08:37 PM by NewJeffCT
The Courant made national news in either '92 or '96 when they endorsed Clinton for president, who was like the first non Republican for president they had endorsed since the beginning of the Republican party! Of course, they endorsed Bush in 2000 and 2004.

A preponderance of their op-ed columnists are right-wing (Michelle Malkin, Kathleen Parker & local guy Laurence Cohen, among them)... they do have Molly Ivins once or twice a week, though.

9. Havent these dumbasses heard of a thing called "logic"?
It is something that, given time, will save humanity.

We hate Bush because he and his comrades are all surrounded by yes men with their "you're with us or against us" attitude, not to mention his every day followers who will gladly bend over because Fearless Leader tells them to.

The Republicans spew vile hatred toward Clinton, despite the fact that the guy has been out of office for six years, and will continue to spin anything negative toward Fearless Leader against Clinton, just because he's Clinton.

So was it this bad under Clinton? Hell yes, if you count the REPUBLICANS hating Clinton. He had a higher approval rating than Bush does now.

See, there are these scary things called "logic" and "deductive reasoning" and they will save us!

10. Of course it was waaaaaay more worse when Clinton was the President!
I have never witnessed the most hateful scorn against the POTUS. The hateful and mean spirited republicans is what made me pay attention to politics. Before I didn't give a hoot about any politician. I couldn't figure out why they hated Clinton And his wife so. So I started reading up from both sides and determined that the republicans are the most hateful people I have ever witnessed. I am surprised they didn't attempt to assasinate the poor man. Now if they say we hate Bush, I always say what goes around comes around. We learned from the Best. We learned it from YOU....the republican party!

11. The public mudslinging against Clinton -- including in Congress, daily --
was absolutely outrageous. The Arkansas Project, the Rutherford Institute, etc. were intent on digging up ANYthing on him. And the media happily complied, reporting rumors as fact, magnifying molehills into mountains, and acting as stenographers for the rightwing.

Here we have an administration with TONS of dirt right all over them -- and it's suppressed.

But the biggest difference is this: Even while Clinton was being publicly persecuted by these oil-drenched asswipes, his popularity among the people was high. In contrast, while Chimp is shrouded in layers of protection -- avoiding important disclosures, legal responsibilities, much less scrutiny -- his ratings among the people are in the toilet.

Funny how that works!!

18. I think the Media is censored by the "WAR"
while we are at "WAR" in Iraq(since pre~emption Oct 2003)they are forced to run all 'news' thru an Information Clearing House at the WH to get approval to report. WH denies most all truth from being broadcast on the waves. Main street news have no choice, aside from covert Humour, to cover reality. Hence MSNBC KO, supposed humour, and international folks like Clancy on CNN.
Who are the odd balls?
Lou Dobbs?
Arron Brown? course, he's gone now
Jack Cafferty CNN. Humour? I love this man, so does my Dad(WWII Vet)

maybe i'm wrong and it's simply the threat of more powdered envelopes that zipps the media shut.

23. I think I saw my first "impeach Clinton" bumpersticker on 1/21/93
And my first upside down American flag on 1/22/93. Those Republicans are mentally ill. They should really seek help. Apparently they don't realize that there is an entire industry that attacks and slanders Democrats.
