Matthews addressed the opposition to the war being labeled as out of the mainstream. In other words, he wondered why lefties are considered to be anti-American wackos. I thought that was interesting since he has been the one to use wacko fairly regularly. But it seemed like he might be making an effort to correct that mislabeling. He mentioned polls that showed the majority of Americans did not approve of the war or the way the war has progressed or something to that effect.

Sen. Biden replied that it was because of the bully pulpit of this administration repeating that assertion on a daily basis.
