President: Cheney 'profoundly affected' by shooting |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 09:39 PM by Jara sang
I should think so. He shot the man in the face. Shooting someone in the face is a profound act and his mere presence at the shooting should mean that he is affected by it. Strike: Cheney is a heartless automaton and a cold blooded killer, he has no feelings. Is this the best attempt they have to try to shine a compassionate light on Vice President Dick Cheney? How pathetic.

is playing the sympathy card. This is just more bullshit like Alito's wife and her false tears. Fugg them. Ask Cheney to show from sympathy for all those soldiers he sent out to slaughter innocents when he lied and invaded Iraq. Does he think they enjoy murdering innocent Iraqis. Let him show some sympathy to all those Iraqi people who were bombed while he celebrated his 'shock and awe' destruction of a people and a sovereign country. Fugg Cheney. I have absolutely no sympathy for him and don't give a flying fuck how he feels.:puke: :puke:
Edit - gr., add.

2. I understand that the VP, out of concern for his dear friend ... |
|
... will restrict himself to ONE olive in his martinis, instead of the traditional TWO, until he knows Whittington is out of danger and on the road to recovery.

21. Bush would stick with a loyalist |
|
Either Condi Rice or Rudy Giuliani... Rudy G, despite the outrageous personal life issues, does have the stamp of approval from fundies like Pat Robertson.
If they pick Condi, Republicans can forever say, "look we don't hate 'dem colored folks, we had Condi Rice as VP and she's a woman and she's black"

20. obey the eleventh commandment, "Thou shalt not get caught." MLK 1963 |
|
It is also midnight within the moral order. At midnight colours lose their distinctiveness and become a sullen shade of grey. Moral principles have lost their distinctiveness. For modern man, absolute right and wrong are a matter of what the majority is doing. Right and wrong are relative to likes and dislikes and the customs of a particular community. We have unconsciously applied Einstein’s theory of relativity, which properly described the physical universe, to the moral and ethical realm.
Midnight is the hour when men desperately seek to obey the eleventh commandment, "Thou shalt not get caught." According to the ethic of midnight, the cardinal sin is to be caught and the cardinal virtue is to get by. It is all right to lie, but one must lie with real finesse. It is all right to steal, if one is so dignified that, if caught, the charge becomes embezzlement, not robbery. It is permissible even to hate, if one so dresses his hating in the garments of love that hating appears to be loving. The Darwinian concept of the survival of the fittest has been substituted by a philosophy of the survival of the slickest. This mentality has brought a tragic breakdown of moral standards, and the midnight of moral degeneration deepens.

with Whittington. The entire story has more holes than swiss cheese.

10. You know what's every bit as bad as that? |
|
I read that Cheney said "this was a private matter". Cheney said he was on a "private trip", on "private property", at a "private ranch".
But guess what? Cheney used Air Force One to get to Texas, had publicly paid emplyees with him, and had secret service people accompanying him. So he was using PUBLIC money, which means that he's accountable TO THE PUBLIC.
And yet he will not divulge any more details than he's given.
What an ass.

Don't you mean President Cheney...
We all know he's calling all the shots and running everything anyway.
BTW: Your characterization of pres f-you is right on. I think the only reasons why he's at all "profoundly affected" is 1) He didn't finish the job 2) There are witnesses.
