Roxanne Jekot is a sharp, dedicated activist for election reform--so sharp, and so dedicated, that she's being persecuted by the state of Georgia, where she lives and works with ever greater difficulty.

2. Roxanne used to hang out here, since before the early DU infatuation with

Bev Harris. I think it's safe to say Roxanne never bought Bev's routine.

Sometime during the Great Bev Blowup Roxanne left DU and continues activism as a programmer/expert in electronic voting problems. It's outrageous that she's being singled out in this manner.

6. Um ... didn't Roxanne set up Bev's original forums for her?

Wasn't that part of the flap ... that Roxanne had "locked Bev out of her own site"? My memory might be a bit fuzzy, but that's how I remember it. Of course, I don't believe for a minute that she did that to Bev since that was just one of the crazed complaints Bev had at the time. She also thought the Feds had hacked her site if I recall correctly. ... ?

and civil rights workers in Georgia during the 1950s.

They used to do this stuff to them back in the 80's and 90's. I remember a few cases in Montana. They just hounded people that never would come to the attention of feds and law enforcement otherwise. That's what they do to any dissident type. Probably always have.

she helped me verify the count in my precint, and ask the right questions of my election officials. This sucks, but i guess i'm not too surprised considering who is in power right now. Hopefully Cynthia McKinney can help her out. God knows the Secretary of State Cathy Cox won't do a thing for her.
