Who's At CES In Las Vegas?
John AshKKKroft, Sen. George Allen, and Rep. Tom Davis, among others. AshKKKroft is giving a keynote speech (read: more money) at the CES Government Conference tomorrow. His speech is entitled, "Information Sharing, Homeland Security and Law Enforcement: How it Works and How It Can Be Improved."

Also on the bill is, "Effective Delivery of Information: Trial by Natural Disaster FEMA’s CIO discusses his experiences this year with real time information challenges between jurisdictions of government in the midst of large scale natural disasters: acquisition, communications, business rule challenges BARRY WEST, CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER, FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY

Emergency Management and the Army Corps of Engineers Information management challenges in the Army Corps of Engineers affect the agency’s ability to effectively address emergency response and planning duties. The Corp’s leader talks about the challenges his agency faces in assimilating and managing information from multiple jurisdictions and how the application of information technologies can and must improve critical information flow within the Corps and across its many constituencies.
