Musing over my morning coffee |
|
Since we changed the Pledge of Allegience in 1954 to include the words "under God" to show all those godless commies what pious folks we were, I had a sort of epiphanous idea whilst sipping my morning cuppa.
I propose we change the pledge yet again, this time substituting the words "under God" with "under LAW"
The right wingers CERTAINLY wouldn't want to be protrayed as against law & order would they? It would also help to remind all that we are a nation of laws, not men (or even gods)
Whaddiya think?

I'd rather not. Liberty and justice are the goals, here, "the law" is just supposed to be a means to get there (but it rarely works out that way in practice).
