Witnesses to Cheney's drinking |
|
We all suspect that Cheney was drinking like a fish when he shot his buddy. If he was falling-down drunk (and he may not have been), there are witnesses besides his cronies and the Secret Service. Witnesses we tend to forget about because we don't have servants. They surely had a staff of servants serving lunch, cleaning up their little messes, releasing tame birds, etc. Many witnesses. All we need is one brave soul willing to say what they saw. Or possibly one taboid willing to fork over a ton of money to get the story.

7. That's the problem..."no-name" witnesses can disappear easily |
|
Anyone know the name of Cheney's food taster? Of course not. No one knows anybody involved, so it would be very easy for BushCo to stuff 'em in the trunk and disappear 'em. And even if Juan The Taster did step forward, he'd be so easy to ridicule and discredit. No, we need someone like Mrs. Whittington or Lynn Cheney herself to step forward. I think at this point, though, if Jesus himself returned from the dead to finger Cheney, the right would swiftboat HIM, too.

It is on my refrigerator right now! The "thing" is a Lego person's arm meant to be bush's arm and hand dripping blood. Pretty cool for an almost nine year old eh?

3. Imus (today) was mocking the notion that Cheney only had "one" beer |
|
speaking from his experience as a former alcoholic and cocaine addict, an dquestioned the interaction between the alcohol consumed and his heart meds. He was on with Mary Mtalin and wasn't buying the BS- he was yelling at her a bit.

In Texas, don't they mark the distance between two towns or counties by how many beers it takes to get there?

4. i'm real curious about the bird release guys..... |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-17-06 08:27 AM by mrbill
Was Cheney hunting real natural quail or was he "hunting" the canned variety?
Can't find anything on the Armstrong Ranch, but the King Ranch across the road offers a three day deer hunt for $5000 and up.
There's different stage directions involved here.
The bird guys would have been right there pulling the string.
on edit: sloppy spelling

5. Cheney, Drink, Drank, Drunk, Pull Trigger, Consider Coverup... |
|
Wouldn't it be something if they could show that it was premeditated (ie. not accidental). Welcome to the Chain-Gang Chainey. Wishful thinking; even if it was blatantly intentional, we're talking about a "World Class" Coverup Team. Just like where they hide quail, in the bush.
Any chance Cheney will visit the Crawford Ranch for some more quail hunting? Would George dare go out with him?

9. I'm confused about how many people were actually present. |
|
Dick, Harry, Swiss Miss (whose name is never brought up in the media) and the Armstrong woman who was sitting in a vehicle 100 yards away. But, was there one more hunter? I could have sworn last night on Countdown I heard someone say "Mrs. Armstrong and the 4 hunters". I'm confused! Was there another person?

11. According to the NYT there were plenty of workers on that hunt |
|
They talked about professional dog handlers, drivers and even guys on horseback who's job it was to help find and spook the quail so the hunting party didn't have to work too hard--bet those cowboys got a real good view of the whole event.
My guess is they were all paid off very generously to keep their mouths shut--and threatened if they go to the media. Maybe someone will get greedy but I wouldn't bet on it.

12. If "professional dog handlers were there", victim was NOT picking up birds |
|
Someone else raised this question on another thread. Given the victim was 78 and Cheney can barely walk without a cane, why weren't there dogs - see, that's why they call them retrievers - in use?
As to threats to servants, you can bet that major threats were made to all hospital personnel. How hard would it be for any reporter to get two sources to describe how the victim looks? With two sources, editors are satisfied that the info has been independently confirmed, and the reporter can quote them as anonymous.
When you think about the guy getting multiple buckshot in the face, his face must be one swollen, black and blue blob. Bet his eyes are swollen shut and I doubt he is capable of speaking intelligibly - probably has tubes up his nose and down his throat to keep his airway open so he can breathe. And they try to say he's "working" from his IU cubicle and just staying in the IU for his privacy!

15. I read somewhere that Whittington had his own dog with him. |
|
The ranch owner mentioned it. Maybe his dog's not the world's greatest retriever--or he stopped to take the bird from the dog. Or Mrs. Armstrong who didn't know anything happened until she saw the Secret Service guys running is full of shit and just saying what Cheney told her to say.

It was either in the reports on thesmokinggun.com or it was in the Dallas news (I didn't save my links from last night) but I distinctly read there were dogs on that trip.
