Quito, Feb 16 (Prensa Latina) A poll in Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador, revealed voters hope for a new president like Venezuelan Hugo Chavez, among other South American counterparts.Multinational TV TeleSur reported that the Spectrum Company survey showed Chavez winner for his policy of integration and demonstrated concern for needy sectors. Those polled admire his direct style of governing, without aligning with any superpower, such as the US.
The 600 people surveyed also believe such a president would deter emigration toward the United States.Spectrum Director Carlos Larreategui said after Chavez, the people said they´d most like the Ecuadorian president to be like Chilean Michelle Bachelet, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva (Brazil) and Nestor Kirchner (Argentina).
