If a wound on a person's left side - which side would you point to?

Seems to be a discrepency on what side of the face Cheney shot at. I noticed, when he was telling the story on faux news, he touched the right side of his face (from his perspective).

Shooting Report is Wrong
"In the only publicly available, official report on last weekend's accidental shooting by Vice President Dick Cheney, a diagram of a body shows where Austin lawyer Harry Whittington was hit by pellets fired from Cheney's Italian-made shotgun... The only problem is that the diagram is wrong, by all accounts," Newsday reports.

"It shows Whittington hit on the left side of his face, neck and chest when Cheney, the Kenedy County Sheriff's office and the report itself say the wounds were on the right side."

I heard cheny say in the interveiw that he swung his gun to his right,and he hit whit. on the right side. For that to be true, wouldn't Whit. have to be facing toward the rear of cheny instead of facing forward and walking up from behind as previously stated? Seems he would have had to be walking toward cheny from the front. Am I missing something here?

NO - If Cheney turns right, he is facing Whit, but he's turning EAST, not west

Scenario 2:
Cheney facing north
Whit facing south (left of Cheney)
NO - If Cheney turns right, he is facing away from Whit

Scenario 3:
Cheney facing south
Whit facing north (right of Cheney)
NO - If Cheney turns right, he is facing away from Whit

Scenario 4:

Whit facing north (left of Cheney)
YES - He is aiming at the right side of Whit's face and he is turning West.

Scenario 5:
Cheney facing south
Whit facing south (right of Cheney)
NO - If Cheney turns right, he is facing west, but he hits Whit on the left side of his face.

Whit facing north (left of Cheney)
NO - If Cheney turns right, he is facing away from Whit

7. Diagram is backwards because investigators did shitty job

It pretty clear that the "investigation" was virtually non-existant. It really doesn't surprise me that the boobs even managed to reverse the side of the injuries.

on the right side. He just gave a statement from the hospital.
