Hubby and I both work at the same place and he's been promoted. Great idea except the big cheese was just using his promotion to move him out of the way of a girlfriend who has "control" issues. She's had a hateful and nasty attitude toward hubby for the past 20 years, but this is the first time that she has, in effect, been able to neuter him and his decisions because of her relationship with big cheese. Well, I mentioned it to hubby and used that word "neuter". He was livid. Got me to thinking that maybe that would be a good word to throw around when talking about Congress, the Dems, etc. Many of them are male and for some, hearing the word bandied about may have a psyop effect. After all, since * has siezed control of the WH, he has effectively neutered Congress, even if they're Republican.

Sieze is another good word.

What other words could we use? I thought there was a post like this some time back, but I couldn't find it.

Maybe we need to write letters to our Repub congress members. Something along the lines of:

I am sure in 19___, when you chose to put your hat in the ring and run for office, that you did so because you felt you could make a difference. I am equally sure that you never thought that Congressional oversite would be neutered and your job and your opinions would become meaningless - afterall, you are a United States _______. ....yaddah, yaddah, yaddah...
