When Will The Sleeping Giant Wake Up?
The snooze has been going on for more than five years which is how this gang of criminals got into the WH house in the first place. They're selling us down the river; our ports, jobs, security, environment, treasury, the value of our money. Soon, the well will be dry. How sharp does the stick, which will finally poke them awake, have to be?

1. Look at the blogs...
I would guess everyone is waiting for someone to move. The sticks have been sharpened for a long time, don'tcha think? Maybe the blogs aren't a good thing, as they give us a venue to let off steam. Perhaps we should have kept the steam bottled up?

3. The Blogs Are Scaring Some
From Pitt's thread on "The Enemy" and how DHS is running war games on bloggers.

"As nightfall does not come at once," wrote Justice William O. Douglas, "neither does oppression. In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we all must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become victims of the darkness."

4. I disagree, I think the giant is beginning to stir, even on their side.

6. Hope Comes In All Forms
Every time something happens, I ask, "is this it", the tipping point, the one foot finally stepping too far over the line. What will add that one inch of powder that causes the roof to crash down?

8. Sometimes things move so slowly as to be imperceptible,
until suddenly there is a tipping point.

We the people that support the Democratic Party and to some extent the Independents have never liked Bush. I believe this has caused us to play the role of canary in the coal mine, we have been choking on his corruption and incompetence for six years now, however the stench has reached such magnitude that even the miners that supported him know they have to get out. Because it has affected us first, it seems longer, but I believe we are at the very least reaching the beginning of the end and the end could come rapidly or it may drag out until November.

Not trying to mix analogies, but I believe there is a perfect storm brewing which will deep six the Republican Party if they do not change course.

11. There Is A Perfect Storm Brewing
Which is one of the things which has me so wound up, though I refer to it as a tsunami. And it won't be pretty which is why I wish so desperately this country would spare itself the pain to come, both psychological and physical. I wonder, also, if it's enough just to get the pugs out of power? I think the cleansing will have to go deeper and relieve us of those who felt going along to get along was really in the best interests of this country, and fsobs (sob friends of B***)who aided and abetted him as well as all apologists and spinners of what has been transpiring. I don't think it's as easy as just replacing the one party if the other doesn't have the courage and moral fortitude to set things right.

9. For every "liberal" blog, there are ten rightwing bushworshipping blogs
spreading the Rove Gospel. Some of them no doubt on the RNC payroll.

Don't know what to make of it, but just had to say it.

2. No One's Really Feeling It Personally...
I'm still not seeing Iraqi veterans walking down the street or bread lines or anything but a lot of private, personal suffering.

This regime and the corporate media have created an attitude that if you're not doing well, you're the problem, not the government. If you're not making $100k a year, it's cause you haven't worked hard enough for it. Or, if you've lost a job or having problems meeting the bills, that's your problem, it's not one that others need to know, hear or see. Buck it up...there's always a Wal-Mart greeters job that needs filling.

Somehow the plates keep spinning that people still have enough to keep them amused and occupied and keep their minds off what troubles 'em. It's easier to watch a mindless football game or TV show and numb yourself away from problems than to confront them. And don't dare attempt to ask for accountability and fairness...those animals never made it near the GOOP.

Cheers...

5. Knowing what we know now about all the ways they've sold out this country,
think about how convenient it must have been for their plan to bankrupt this country when the twin towers -- a major U.S. financial hub -- were leveled.

7. That Situation And The "Convenience" Of It
in light of the PNAC, brings up an entire set of questions of it's own.

10. I'm afraid, at this point, that it looks like it's gonna take the
brown shirts bashing in the door before a lot of the public says, "Hey, wait, that's not right!" It just seems that almost everyone around me is going about as though it business as usual, while it seems to me that the world I've always known is falling apart.
