James Frey vs Dick Cheney .....
Some people were surprised to find out that James Frey's book, "A Million Little Pieces," was a work of fiction, based loosely on fact. Others recognize that drug addicts often tend to, well, lie and make stuff up, and change the facts around, and blame other people for things they did, and to say, "I only had one."

Some people have been surprised to find out Dick Cheney's tale, "200 Little Pellets" was a work that also appears to have an unhealthy mix of fiction being presented as fact. Others recognize that people who drink at lunch and when under stress, such as when they recklessly shoot a friend in the face, might distort facts in their own mind.

1. Frey has more honor. He actually faced Oprah - in person.
Fox shill Brittle Hume gave VP, Dick the Drinker a pass and get out of jail free card. Tricky Dick's lies outnumber the buckshot he pumped into whittington by at least 200 cannons.

2. Too funny!!!
"I only had one." Didn't Shotgun Cheney say the same thing? :-) I would love to see Oprah take on Dim Son and Darth Cheney.

3. I Repeat Here FireDogLake's Headline Of The Other Day
"Where there's smoke there's fire. where there's one drink, there's a liar".

I can't make up my mind as to whether he panicked or he's a lying sob who doesn't care a flying fig about anyone or anything and thought he could get away with it. Oh wait...he can be both at the same time.

4. What I Also Find Interesting About This Incident
is that with the alcohol, it brings up the subject of enabling. The two top officials in the executive branch clearly have substance abuse problems (dui for both, plus a history of drug/alcohol related problems. (also lest we forget, the missus, who is rumored to have been a pothead and is said to be medicated, ran down and killed someone). Is it any wonder we have come to such a pass? They're enabling each other and killing the country in the process? I wonder how many of the other PNAC people have substance abuse problems? It would present an interesting study.
