1. I don't know all the particulars |

about this, but it appears to be a no brainer and for obvious reasons.

2. Well at least the Dems are trying to some extent. |

"Money for the September 11 attacks was wired through the UAE's banking system, according to U.S. officials. Two of the September 11 hijackers were UAE citizens."
So the UAE assisted in the 9/11 attacks and we turn over our major port operations to them. I wonder who of brush's friends was set to make billions off of this sell off of US security? Do you know what the Bin Ladens have been doing lately?

3. The Dubaians have lots of money but no security |
|
al-Qaeda and other such groups love the UAE for just that reason. They own the United Arab Emirates. They come and go as they please, and they used it as a staging ground for many of their jolly adventures.
Of course, American security is likewise lousy -- Little King George can tap our phones at will, but our ports have an open-door policy that has been repeatedly noted and ignored.
This isn't a matter of boogeymen, it's a matter of reality. What "Homeland Security" has done is to give us all of the boogeymen and none of the security guards. We still need to make sure the easy targets get hardened real fast, or we'll have another headline-grabbing attack -- which, ironically, may be exactly what Team Bush wants.
Locks and fences are cheap. Funerals are expensive.

4. Why can't the US just sell Texas? |
|
Lemme see, what other genocidal maniacal third world country would love to own a hunk of prime United States real estate? How about Somalia? They're a barter society run by a bilateral feudal system. That should be perfect!

12. We should sell our nuclear plants to Belarus, and DHS to Albania. |
|
Belarus -- Soviet-style dictatorship downwind from Chernobyl (which the Ukraine insisted on re-opening for 10 years after the reactor disaster)
Albania -- Ideal for training homeland security professionals to adapt to the hostile conditions abroad, Albania is a former Stalinist dictatorship that relied on ox-carts for transportation. After a smooth transition to functioning anarchy, Albania successfully invaded (with US assistance) and de facto annexed the nearby province of Kosovo.
Unlike the unstable US currency, Albania's currency has been literally tied to a valuable resource for many years: kidnapped Greek tourists.
They published a price list (equivalent to the Norway Brent crude index that apparently sustains the dollar).

how Bushco's so-called "allies in the War on Terror" (Saudi, Pakistan, UAE) actually have some connection to 9/11 but his favorite boogeymen (Saddam, and now Iran) had nothing to do with it.

7. Welcome to the Party Hillary |

Just read the Reuters story about my Senator being in the forefront on this. Rep King (R - NY) has been talking about this for almost a week now. I guess Reuters didn't know.

You think it's okay to SELL our U.S. ports to not just foreign entities, but to terrorist-connected foreign entities? Please share with us why you think it's NOT inappropriate at all.
