19. what words accompanied the last picture that sent shivers up your back?
i kept switching on and off to bush's speech--which seemed to be unending. the last part of it he had taken off his jacket. and was sweatty as hell under his arm pits just like gore used to do. however, i don't know what he said because i kept the t.v. on mute. i can't bear to listen to the bastard. i was trying to gage the reaction of his audience. to me they seemed to be bored most of the time, or some of them even looked like their faces were saying, "we don't believe you any more, dubya..." but i may have just been projecting my wishes on to the audience...and (i supposed it must have been the end of the speech when they all seemed to applaud a great deal) and if it was the end of the speech, were they glad it was over? or, were they praising the bastard with their applause? i don't know.

I believe you because I know color affects psychological perception (remember bush's baby-blue campaign shirt?) but I don't know about yellow vis-a-vis public relations.

Can you explain? Thanks! :hi:

I also read that as "screwing" at first glance,

How much did this FAKE Town Hall cost us tax payers this time?
Any air traffic controllers out there?
What does it cost to shut down all air traffic for each FAKE Bush Town Hall Meeting?

--

Seems the traffic only gets worse. Can you tell me if traffic will be affected by Busch being in town around 5:30. I live in Brandon and commute to Clearwater and back to Brandon each day. It is a night mare as is.

THANK YOU

--

There is also a sold-out Bon Jovi concert at the St. Pete Times Forum tonight.

Will the president’s event and travelling affect traffic in getting to this concert around 6:00?
:spray:

What traffic problems can we expect and when? Is he taking the highway or going through downtown Tampa? I work in downtown Tampa and want to go the other way when I get off work this afternoon…

and from the article about his visit:
>>Bush spoke before a friendly audience and took questions after his prepared remarks. The first questioner said the nation was blessed to have Bush as president. The next questioner referred to Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as “your great brother.’’<<

That is really thrilling! I'm so glad. Hah! This is my favorite:

Yet another FAKE Bush Town Hall Meeting with a Stepford audience. Gag me.

74. Securing America, eh?
If they meant "keeping America secure", the sign is bad grammar and that is no surprise. But if they meant securing America for their own purposes, that would mean we would be subjects of a police state with no freedom or protection.

Hey, comrade, welcome to the Soviet Union of America. You can check in, but you can't leave.

77. He looks like an Oprah/Springer wannabe! "VPs who shoot friends ..."
"... and the women who love them. Coming right up, after this message from our sponsors."

Or possibly this 1970s movie, about a desperate US President who has to conduct a telethon to pay off the national debt!

Okay -- I'm a bad, shallow person, for marking down a guy for looking silly on TV, rather than looking at the serious issues regarding his supposed leadership abilities. But thanks to those pics, I can't help it!

78. A few random thoughts
- If "Mission Accomplished" is any indication, I hate to think how this will affect America's security.

- They've got what looks like at least 2 giant "Securing America" signs behind the audience, do they really need that little one stuck to the front of....wait, is that a music stand??!!

- What's the deal with that one giant, crooked wrinkle that runs across his forehead? I've never seen anyting quite like it.

And of course...

- This is the leader of the free world, folks.

84. These pictures seem subliminal to me....
whether it is on purpose or not. Did anyone else notice the smaller yellow sign right next to *? In two of the pictures there is a black rope in front of the sign and so here is how it looks like it is set up for the pix: Overhead sign : "Securing America" and below there is a yellow "=" sign next to *&. Put it together and it means that a secure America equals *.

Like I said, it may not be intentional but that is the very first thing that jumped out at me.

86. good call, on the "subliminable" use of W ...
He is propped up there like a mannequin in a window display.

This observer notes that he is frequently put on show, with the words positioned to make it clear that HE is the central part of the display (as if anybody who is less than enthralled by him must have Bush emphasized for their benefit, as if they are small children with short attention spans!). It comes off looking cartoonish and insulting.

"The result resembles a life-size Powerpoint presentation with Dubya slapped in the middle of it."
