AP delivers GOP spin
http://mediamatters.org/items/200602170006

In three separate articles, the AP has falsely criticized Democrats or otherwise repeated Republican spin. The first, in which the AP left out key information undermining a suggested link between Sen. Reid and Jack Abramoff, was published by the LA Times with further omissions. In another, the AP once again repeated the administration's "terrorist surveillance program" moniker in reference to its warrantless domestic surveillance program.

More at Media Matters...

The latest round of attacks on Democrats by the AP is discouraging. They are usually pretty neutral, IMHO.

3. AP's Been On The Payroll For A While
That operation hosts some of the worst regime stenographers around...and they do it under the guise that most AP stories go without a byline (no writer getting the credit) and it's passed along as filler in many newspapers...most times getting prominent play without any editing.

Their hit piece on Harry Reid was a perfect example. They tried to link him to Abramoff using the Indian donations he had gotten...but they failed both to mention the fact that the bill that supposedly Reid was being paid off for he not only voted against, he co-sponsored the legislation. Sheesh. Then, they didn't even bother to speak with Reid to get his comments...completing the smear. And still they have yet to offer any retraction or correction. Intellectually lazy and dishonest...but it assures their reporter a good seat in Snotty's gaggles and a prime time question at asshat's next press photo op.
