Wittingham appoligized to the man that shot him?
It reminds me of having the thank the principal after him taking the paddle to us.

Not only was Wittingham shot, he had to debase himself in front of tens of millions of people, for inconveniencing the our glorious leaders.

1. Whatever Cheney said to him
alone, in the field, before he shot him must have worked. The last thing anyone who shoots me gets from me, regardless of the circumstances, is an appology.

3. Do you mean "Whittington" did "apologize" to Cheney?

4. I'm sorry but Whittington is a dumb F***er!

Does a bank teller apologize to a robber while being robbed?

How about a rape victim?

Cheney needs to apologize, for this and a lot more.

Has the world gone mad?!?!?!?!

I mean - really - WTF?!?!?!?!

8. Maybe there is a master/slave relationship there
No telling what kind of kinky behavior goes on in those "undisclosed" locations.

10. He didn't apologize to him.
This has gone beyond absurd. Whittington essentially said he was sorry his friend had to go through all the publicity, etc. Nothing strange or particularly demeaning about it. I can't stand Cheney either, but I'm not going to let that twist me into distorting everything about this whole stupid thing. We should separate the things that are truly disturbing from fantasy or distortion. And what's truly disturbing is the arrogant way the situation was handled with the usual Cheney propensity for secrecy; that includes delaying speaking with the sheriff and the release of information. Was he drunk? We'll never know. Move on. Is he having an affair? Who the fuck cares.

11. Being dictator means you never have to apologize.
In abusive relationships, the victim apologizes for upsetting their abuser. If anything a totalitarian state is an abusive relationship.
