It happened Friday, Cheney tried to have his doctors treat his friend. |
|
The injuries turned out to be too serious and they had to have him go to the hospital on Sat. I really think this might explain why all the holes in his story. Think about it. Cheney travels with doctors and maybe they tried to treat the man and cover the whole thing up?

1. that is kind of bizarre |
|
Doctors who can treat the kinds of conditions Cheney is likely to have should be able to treat shot gun wounds.

3. Whittington might have memory loss. |
|
The case has been closed by the Texas sheriff. Chances of knowing the real story are ZERO.

11. Unless, of course, people keep asking the question. |
|
Because that will lead people to write books.
Not today or tomorrow, but it's almost irresistible as a story.
Seen Blood and Orchids? Truth took a very long time to come out.
Whittington said Dick wasn't drunk. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT?

4. Then there are a whole lot of doctors and nurses at two hospitals... |
|
who will have to be, ahem, taken care of.
Other than that, there is a certain logic to the Friday scenario. I'll tell you what else, they did seem offensive on their initial insistence that Whittington got the best of care.

5. Olbermann told us it was okay to wear our tinfoil hats...LOL |
|
He brought up the Friday "mistake" in Whittington's statement today, and that the game wardens "official" report had the wound sketch on the wrong side of Whit's body.

7. There is nothing so bizarre |
|
That it is out of the realm of possibility with these freaks.
If they have nothing to hide, then why didn't they come out right away? Why haven't we heard from all the witnesses? Where is Pamela Williford?

8. Someone who works at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi or |
|
NAS Kingsville would probably know which day the VP flew in on AF2. It would be cool if someone here had access to flight logs. I doubt he flew into the civilian airport. I am assuming he flew in as close as he could get to the site to avoid a long ride.
There always seems to be some wiggle room in the Dickster's schedule, doesn't there?

9. And Cheney was probably drinking the entire time... |
|
There was the pre-shooting "That's mighty fine BBQ!" drinking... The "Gimme yer flask Whit, my knee is hurtin' after gettin outta that limo" drinking... The "OMG! Whit, you idiot! How'd you get behind those quail!!" drinking... The "Rummy is gonna have me disappeared..." drinking... The "You'll be alright, just rest here at the ranch with my personal physician..." on Friday night drinking... The "You say he's bleeding internally we have to move him?! Son of a..." drinking on Saturday morning... And the "Ok, everyone got their stories straight? Good, let's have a stiff one..." drinking.
I think that covers it.

14. I agree. Whit's comment is likely to have been in error; of course |
|
I'd be happy to reassess everything if anyone can come up with any shred of corroborating evidence for the Friday date.

But until he confirms that he did make a mistake, I'll go with what the guy who got shot in the face says! :)

13. You Know Cheney Didn't Arrive Till Late Friday Right? |
|
And since that's the case, are you now condoning a theory that they weren't hunting at all, but that in some sort of jealous rage Cheney picked up a shotgun, loaded it and tried to blow away his good pal whittington? Then waited 24 hours to take him to the hospital, and then another 24 to mention it to anyone? And since the delay would've had nothing now to do with the alcohol theory (which you are now officially throwing away with this new theory), that last delay was for what?

20. Uh... He ran out to pick up some beer? |
|
Why is the song "Rocky Raccoon" playing in my head? lol
What time do they say Cheney arrived? I hadn't heard that mentioned anywhere... And there was something that was bugging me... in the Cheney/Hume kissathon, there was this exchange:
"Cheney: Well, it's a great relief. But I won't be, obviously, totally at ease until he's home. He's going to be in the hospital, apparently, for a few more days, and the problem, obviously, is that there's always the possibility of complications in somebody who is 78-79 years old. But he's a great man, he's in great shape, good friend, and our thoughts and prayers go out to he and his family.
Hume: How long have you known him?
Cheney: I first met him in Vail, Colorado, when I worked for Jerry Ford about 30 years ago, and it was the first time I'd ever hunted with him.
Hume: Would you describe him as a close friend, friendly acquaintance, what?
Cheney: No, an acquaintance."
wtf? He's a good friend, he's an acquaintance?! My brain hurts...

"We were so busy trying to get medical care for Harry." They said it over and over, and I kept thinking -- what are you talking about? I said to my husband, is Cheney dressing his wounds or what? Stick his ass in an ambulance and get him to the hospital!
In light of your theory, these repeated protestations about the hunting clan trying to supervise medical care seem a bit sinister . . .
