If you could pick up to 24 Congress members to go down in the Abramhoff...
...scandal who would they be?

I just read on CNN, "...while a senior government official told CNN the probe involves about two dozen lawmakers and staffers." http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/03/abramoff.fallout/index.html

Wow, 24. That is a huge number.

I'll have to admit that this entire episode smells like a set up. Is BushCo cleaning house?

Regardless--it is fun to ponder and fantasize about up to 24 corrupt Congress critters packing up their bags and going home.

Which Congress Critters would you most like to see on the next train to their home town?

My picks are:

1.) Sen Lieberman
2.) Sen Mike DeWine (was a total assclown during the election certification uproar last Jan)
3.) Sen Chuck Grassley
4.) Sen Frist
5.) Sen Biden (sorry, can't stand him. He's a neocon apologist)
6.) Rep Steve King (an abomination and a shame to my state)
7.) Rep Jim Nussle (" " plus a neocon)
8.) Sen Elizabeth Dole
9.) Sen Orrin Hatch

1. how can you have a list
and put two Dems in the top 9 and not have Tom Delay on the list. Boggles this Democrat's mind.

3. I missed DeLay! My mistake...
...I understand your boggled mind!

It was an oversight, I assure you.

He was actually one of my top five picks, but I just forgot to put him on the list.

My bad!

All of this corruption muddles the mind, you know!

4. Most of these will be staffers, not the Congresscritters themselves.
I'll just list the "C" Senators I'd like to see gone...Cornyn, Coburn, Cochran, Chambliss, Coleman, Collins, Craig and Crapo...

12. Lieberman? Biden?
I'd prefer we concentrate on the opposing party first. Even if their individual votes don't always go our way, we need them. They caucus with us, after all, and if we're to take the Senate it will be by the slimmest of margins.

13. I don't have any love for Lieberman or Biden, but think big picture.
the least number of Democrats on the list the best, it would be best to make this wholly partisan thing so we we can increase its "marketability" to middle America and the media.

My list would consist of the following

6 Republican Sen. (to make it a Dem majority 50-49-1)
1 Republican President
1 Republican Vice PResident
16 Republican House members.

...gawd I'd love to see his ass fry crisp and hot in this one. Especially after it was sawn off and handed to him so nicely by that Scottish MP from the Muslim district in London.

wishfully,

The worst of the worst.

Mr. "mercury isn't poisonous" and let's repeal the endangered species act and sell off national parks.
