What's the deal with the LaRouche people?
I work in DC and am constantly seeing these people. They seem to be marginally on the same side as us, but also a little creepy.

1. LSD in the kool-aid
LaRouche seems to change his positions every year and the LaRouchies seem to follow. He is on our side as long as it suits his purposes.

6. Please stay away.
He has been around for years. He has no values. He just promotes himself.

8. They stalk...
I signed an online petition opposing the war in Iraq and a week later I got a call from a woman claiming to have signed the same petition. She said we were like-mind (anti-war) and then she launched into some sort of Larouche love story. I told her the guy was an anti-Semitic psycho creep and hung up...every day for three months she would call and I refused to answer (caller ID). I finally called the phone company and advised them that I had a stalker and gave them the woman's number. End of phone calls.

was some sort of sinister mind control organization.

3. I spoke with them outside the Chappaqua post office
the other day. It was bitter cold here in New York and I didn't wear a coat. But I felt sorry for them standing there all day, so stopped and talked and I gave them some money. They heaped a lot of literature on me and now I am on their mailing list.

From what I can tell, at least from reading what they gave me and from talking with them, they feel that the main stream Democratic Party has not heeded or effectively responded to many threats from the Neocons, such as the attack on Iraq. They were very agitated about the possibility of our attacking Iran next.

I haven't had time to open any of the emails, but here's the one from today:

LaRouche to Hold International Webcast February 23rd, 2006
http://www.larouchepac.com/pages/press_releases_files/2006/060223_webcast_announ ce.htm

On Thursday, Feb. 23 Democratic Party statesman Lyndon LaRouche will hold another international webcast of an address to a Washington, DC audience. The live webcast of the address will begin at 1:00 pm Eastern Time (12:00 noon, Central; 11:00 am Mountain; 10:00 am Pacific). His webcast will provide strategic leadership for those opponents, centered in the U.S. Senate among Democrats and Republicans, of the Cheney-Bush drive for war and Carl Schmitt-like powers by the Executive. LaRouche will address the British-inspired plan for a disastrous war against Iran, among other subjects.

Use the next several days to build the audience for LaRouche's webcast. Forward this e-mail widely and print and distribute the webcast announcment, available by clicking on the link above. And organize your friends and family to watch the webcast, either live or available later that night through an archived file.

5. One follower used to call me on the phone a lot. They think Cheney
and gang are actually devil worshipers. They talk of good and real evil with the neo-cons. He is very intelligent and his writings are hard to comprehend at times if you try to read his stuff.
