Strange "racial protest" t-shirt |

I saw this about a week ago...let me throw it out at you and see what y'all think.
Across the top of the shirt was the word "HONKY."
Below the word was a picture of a Native American in headdress with his fingers in his ears.

The guy who was wearing it was almost definitely a Lumbee--go down into Robeson County and half the population (at least) are Lumbees.
I translate the shirt as "here's this offensive word directed at your people, but I don't want to hear you complain because you keep calling my people Injuns and naming your sports teams things like Chiefs, Redskins and Braves."
The only problem is, how many whites are actually offended by the term Honky? How many of them even know it's supposedly a slur directed at them?
I don't think the shirt works.
