4. try this
* is the unmentionable
MK Ultra is something you could look up on google.
This program, if it existed, had lots of victims who
would then become horribly twisted individuals
who wouldn't mind destroying the USA, the Constitution, and plunging the world into a third world war and fascist dictatorship.
I'm just sayin'...

5. Duh!
"This treatment was discarded as it often resulted in the death of the patient from physical side effects of the drug combination, making further interrogation impossible."

6. RC-good link -not sure about the Duh!
I'd think that this post:
"This treatment was discarded as it often resulted in the death of the patient from physical side effects of the drug combination, making further interrogation impossible."
-was sarcastic

There's enough public testimony that extremely nasty stuff happened, the question is how much more was underground, then and now.

12. RC - re: the sarcasm -sorry for the wait
Maybe that specific program has ended
but that knowledge is still being used today
by hundreds of USA interrogators today
x-ray, abu grahib, european rendition sites.

I thought that was sarcastic
to post a bland government statement that they quit running
a part of the program which led to the untimely death of the
interogatee.

I was using the name of a well-documented program
as a catch-all to describe what might motivate a people-hating traitor,
or not that specific-specific program.

The reason I brought this up in the first place,
which I also neglected to say, was this type of behavior
would need some kind of response that came from
torture therapy, megalomania, and cult-deprogramming.

I'm curious what DUers might know.
thanks

10. Wow! You learn a new crappy thing every day here on the DU.
I've heard about human-drug experimentation, but never knew most of this stuff.

13. they found a more effective method:
a combination of
sensory deprivation,
'self-inflicted' pain,
attack on cultural sensitivities,
attack on individual fears and phobia
