Thompson got just 58% last time. That's not a big number for a Black rat in the South. The Blacks have yet to start voting GOP in Mississippi (only 10% in 2004 ) so this will be a very interesting race. As to money, if she shows any strength she'll get all she needs. There is a small but growing Black conservative community, some with money, who would love to get their first rat skin for their trophy room wall. This lady could be their poster girl.

3. I really wish I had an account over there-

Yesterday I ween to freeperville to lurk a bit. A thread about a fellow in TX who is now a marketing guy for an electrical utility is running for the TX state house as a Democrat, but who is a former male prostitute and an alcoholic in recovery, had all of them laughing out loud. I mean a Former man ho, reformed drunk wants to run for the Texas Legislature. This is funny when its a Democrat. Its a youthful indiscretion that * is a reformed drunk. God only knows what it is that Gannon/Guckert is a man ho. I kind of wanted to remind those Freepers about Jaysus saying that those without sin could cast the first stone. (And that's before anyone says anything about Kennedy and Mary jo v. Cheney and Fuddgate.)
