2. The mainstream media has been covering it for a long time.
The mainstream media - Democracy Now!, the Progressive, etc.

I think you're talking about the Corporate Media.

NGU.

6. the reporter is named Jim Parsons..
I poked around on the site and wrote some real nice feedback to him... He should be cloned, and it was the best report i'd seen on TV about e-voting anywhere... and I wished that journalists in some of the bigger markets could do it as well as he had...

...shined all over the guy...

7. Kicked and Nominated... and give feedback to the station...
I left them a very nice letter thanking them for their work. They did a very good job, informative and clear.

Here's the feedback form... I hope anyway. If this doesn't work right, just click the contact button on the left side of the page.

10. Pittsburgh is currently looking down the Barrel of evoting
I've written the election board, so have others from various other orgs pointing out all of the issue with E-voting and the lack of confidence PA residents have in them.

In 2004 Westmorland had issues with the touch screen, and an over-count I believe.

It's great to see it though.. I truly hope the board takes notice of it. Because the more people know about e-voting the less they trust the system. They shouldn't trust them.

I never understood what is so difficult about creating a a Federal Non partisan testing lab with experts for ALL electronic voting systems to be tested .. that means OPEN Code, if they want the lab to sign confidentiality agreements, so be it. But it has to be open for examination. It's the only way to assure the public trust in the voting process.

I know it takes money but I don't understand why this hasn't even been discussed. then again we can't get any sort of federal anything related to voting and voting rights.

11. Most people are NOT even concerned with electronic voting! Fucking media..
Edited on Sun Feb-19-06 12:17 AM by Zinfandel
Unfortunately, most people don't see electronic voting machines as a major issue, Shit, television hasn't even talked about it, so it must not be an issue!

Hahaha, say the republicans...

When the republicans can continue to hold power and allow just enough Dem's in office as is the case now, they can keep most people from getting wise and believing there is a problem...always keep just enough Democrats.

Keep the Dem's believing the republicans won because of morality, gay marriage and that the Dem's are too liberal, (and the stupid democrats believe their GOP enemy).

While the republicans continue to pass all their bullshit laws, legislation, spying etc., and no democrat can call them on it because the republican have complete power, because of their fucking electronic voting machines...We all know the republicans own the media so that's out of the question to expect it to be made widely known...

And if the Dem's go to the court...the republicans are putting in their judges to say to the Dem's, FUCK YOU!!!!

But most people don't see their republican owned voting machines as something to be too concerned with...surely not in their neighborhood, maybe some other neighborhoods, perhaps.
