5. Where I'm at at the moment CNN is running some sort of Flight 93
program or other.

Not sure exactly what's going on. A Larry King rerun maybe?

animal planet, and some other one that is running a movie (i think) called national security. HA!

12. I could probably do without cable news for awhile, especially if they'd
run a few episodes of ST. ELSEWHERE.

It's a bit dated, but a lot better than listening to Bush lie.

17. oohhhh, i LOVED st. elsewhere.
watched it every with (with my dad). after that i remember we moved onto l.a. law.

those were "bonding" moments when we shared tv shows--

(then i remember he'd go in his room and watch mcgyver--that was our great divide)

great.

Now I'm really homesick for that show!

23. Agreed -- pricey, but probably great to have on the shelf.
I liked the cast, the way the scriptwriters wrote for those characters, and the setting of the hospital as a kind of blue collar hospital.

For me it was almost entirely opposite from a show like DALLAS.

10. then i guess it's just comcast around here
i'd call my neighbors but i don't think they'd appreciate the two-in-the-morning phone call. ("hi, it's just me. did i wake you?" "uuuummmm" "is your cnn on?" "click")

Power problems in the NorthEast affecting their signal distribution? Everything seems to be stable where
I am though.

27. Didn't mean to imply that you had a problem
My comment was not directed at you so much but a general comment on the state of the teevee media today.

I rot my own brain sometimes too, because I listen to Hannity and Limbaugh for the humor. Oh, wait...

:)

30. omg! hannity & limbaugh???
i flip them on (then flip them off--in more ways than one) in the car when air america goes on commercial.

i try to keep informed (for the duration of a commercial break) just to know what the enemy is saying--but i have to admit that most of the time it is intolerable and i end up turning them off faster than the two or three minute break.

No Conservative News Network.

No FAUX "News" Charnel.

Enjoy the Internets -- without the corporate filters that affect cable (cue laugh track) "news." (Hahahahahaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!)
