Duke Cunningham should be executed
It's time we get serious about white collar corporate crime. I don't want him going off to Club Fed for 10 years where he can play tennis and eat bacon and eggs on the taxpayer's dime. He should be put to death, along with Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling and Bernie Ebbers.

There is nothing in the handbook on being a liberal that obligates me to oppose the death penalty, and I dare say that many, though not all of you, would support the death penalty if more white male corporate/white collar crooks were executed.

1. That sounds about as rational
as those "other folks" talking about executing drug dealers...

No.

2. Nope
I would never support state sanctioned murder no matter how much I thought they deserved it.

3. Death Penalty is murder
Duke Cunningham is a human being.

He's also a criminal, and deserves to languish his rich-elitist ass behind bars.

4. Death penalty = pure vengeance.
And in the case you want to use it for, it would be Draconian.

However, I might support life in prison without parole for the more egregious corporate criminals.

with headphones attached to his head blasting John Asscroft's "greatest hits" for 72 hours. If that makes me a sick degenerate fuck so be it.

6. I don't believe in capital punishment - but if I did...
...all of the influential members of PNAC would be candidates. They inflicted "unwarranted" death & destruction on peoples & principles.

8. Why does "get serious" always mean "kill"?
If we just enforced the laws we already have equally & fairly, there wouldn't be a problem.

12. A bit extreme I must say....
I think the punishment for white collar corporate crimes should be to take away all their money, possessions, health care, pensions, etc. for life and only allow them to have jobs such as working at Walmart, McDonald's or some such place. There could be no punishment worse than that for these money hungry, souless, selfish individuals.
