Daughters of the American Revolution. The women of today have nothing on the woman of the American Revolution.

ON EDIT: Don't get me wrong I think what they are doing is admirable, but nothing compared to our fore mothers.

3. perhaps only because the situation has not yet turned into bullets and
cannon balls, or hiding innocent souls or bush scapegoats. if it were to come to that, as i fear it will, (may even already be beginning) i am afraid the women today will be in quite a sisterhood with the DARs (of which by family line and family history, i am one).

4. Hmmm...
That's only because you believe that the revolution has ended.

Democracy is a never-ending experiment, therefore, the revolution goes on...

6. If you want to believe that go ahead
We are no where near the conditions that we were during the American Revolution with people putting their lives on the line.

8. "A state of permanent revolution"?
How very Trotskyist of you.

I don't think you can have a never-ending experiment - an experiment takes place in closed conditions. You could have a never-ending series of experiments, though.

Great pic, though.

10. Good definition
Your definition is spot-on: Democracy is a never-ending series of experiments.

The engine for this never-ending series of experiments is the never-ending need for... CHANGE.

Which, I believe, is one of the meanings of the word, REVOLUTION.
