Chavez: We will Cut off Oil to US if it 'Crosses the Line'
who will the freeps blame when oil hits $200 a barrel, the feminist?

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez warned that they could cut off oil exports to the US if it “crosses the line.”

Chavez, speaking in a meeting on February 18 in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, warned; "The government of the US should know that if they cross the line, they are not going to have Venezuelan oil. We have begun taking steps on this matter, but I will not tell you what they are.” Chavez did not clarify what he meant by “crossing the line” and added, “They think I cannot take these steps, because we will not know where to place our oil. They are mistaken.” Venezuela, the world's fifth largest oil producer, exports daily 3.2 million barrels, 1.5 million of which goes to the US. The US government relation at lows with the Chavez government, called on February 17 for an “international united front” against Venezuela.

1. Its really funny how we use propaganda to influence and meddle in other
countries affairs in the name of democracy, but every other country is supposed to just accept that because we are on the side of right. Is using the cheap oil as a propaganda tool against us? Of course he is. We have been attacking him personally and fucking with ability to run his own country.

2. America has always been condemned for hurting
civilians (economic sanctions such as in Cuba)in other Countries because of their Governments. Is this not the same thing Hugo Chavez proposes to do to the U.S.? Just some food for thought.

3. It's exactly the same thing. Let's watch the pot call the kettle black.
This should be interesting, eh? How will they explain what they did in Cuba, Panama, Guatemala, Philippines, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and so many other countries? I can't wait to hear the hypocrite's remarks on Chavez and Venezuela.

4. Isn't this a big deal?
Don't we get most of our oil from Venezuela? This might be the scariest development to date.

7. should be a neat trick

He says he is not going to sell the US his oil. OK is he going to cut production of the amount of oil he sells to the US? Because if he doesn't he is going to sell it to someone. Unless they just start using that much extra oil, the oil they don't buy in order to buy his will then be sold to the US. It's a world market, there is no way to punish someone by "not selling" to them. Either you put your oil in the market or you don't. If you put your oil in the market it really doesn't matter if you sell to X and Y but not Z to hurt Z. The only way to have any effect if to not sell your oil into the market to begin with.

8. Now there's a thought
If someone else buys their oil, then the oil they don't buy from a different country can be sold to the US. Sort of a domino theory.

I just wish that Chavez and Bush and the Iranian president would get the rulers out, and settle it once and for all who has the biggest "sabre" to rattle.

Oh, for a diplomat. Alas, none to be found in this admin. They don't believe in them.

So can we take on Iran and Venuzuela at the same damn time we're battling Iraq and Afghanistan? Can you say draft?
