Good to see our newest and most expensive fighter jets, which I don't believe are even officially deployed yet, doing something so important! :wtf:

Anyone else have a problem with this?

Or have more info about the status of the F22A Raptor?

Like people will think "Ain't that cool? I'm going to sign up to be shipped to Iraq right now!" They actually have recruiting stations at NASCAR events now.

Florida has a lot of AF bases. Hey at least the had Bon Jovi this year instead of Hank Jr, Toby Kieth or Charley Daniels.

28. Mitsubishi actually could......... they were the folks who
built the Japanese Zero in WWII:

It took the US about 2 years to catch up to them on the design. The first Zero that was captured in workable form was in 1942 (I think) and was recovered from a crash in the Aleutian Islands.

Sorry to go off-subject, but this is a hubby-hobby and I just remembered it.

His first thoughts on the F22 @ Daytona? Raw, raw, raw, go US Morans!!

Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

7. NASCAR? A PR op, nothing else.
Of course, if any commercial flyer flew overhead, they'd lose their pilot's license.
Even worse, what if they flew a Impeach Him Now banner? They'd probably be shot out of the sky.

38. You used to watch NASCAR? How red-state is that?
You watched NASCAR in 2000 and before, and can't say whether or not military planes fly over NASCAR events? I guess you'd be one of those people then who turn off the TV when they play the "National Anthem" then huh? Maybe you're not as red-state as you seem.

Your post implies though that you used to be a fan... Most here would ridicule you for that fact alone. I'm surprised you'd admit it.

35. Last year there was a flyover of some sort of jets on the 4th of
July. I found it offensive, and apparently so did many people around me. We eyed one another, and when one older gentleman commented, "There it is, our tax dollars at work!" there was a lot of nodding and affirmative grunts.
