So-the Port decision is a done deal already?
http://wjz.com/topstories/local_story_049154722.html

-snip-
The Homeland Security Department has said it was legally impossible under the committee's rules to reconsider its approval without evidence that DP World gave false information or withheld vital details from U.S. officials. The 30-day window for the committee to voice objections has ended, the department said.

2. Iron-clad, triple-bolted, encased in cement kind of a decision.
Wonder why so much effort went into ramrodding this through in secret haste, with their permanent "rules" they say are unassailable? HHmmmmm

Their rules are written and rewritten at will. If they violate rules, they just make up a new set and write legislation to cover their illegal acts retroactively.

Selling off our port security to people who are tied to the 9-11 terrorist attack and who also still support the Taliban as a legitimate government....

Something big that they don't want the American people to know about is certainly tied to this port decision, we must find out what it is.

In case anyone is still undecided, we have entered a fascist dictatorship.

3. I thought national security trumped law? Will they make up their minds?
They can tap our phones, and search our homes, but they can't hold up the sale of multiple strategic ports to a country that was funding terrorism just a few years ago?

Here's a vital detail withheld from US officials;:nuke:
(UAE)-Hey! Remember me? I funded terrorists! Remember!!?

Sounded like Russert was asking Chertoff about the port sale when he said (paraphrase) "Based on your track record, with Katrina and all, how can we trust that you'll keep us safe"

I just wrote a piece on this topic this morning.

"Is That the Fox Watching the Hen House?
Bush Administration Pushes for Arab Emirate’s Control of US Shipping Ports."

6. damage control
from the article:

"The company quietly dispatched advisers to reassure port officials along the East Coast, and its chief operating officer -- internationally respected American shipping executive Edward "Ted" H. Bilkey -- is expected to travel to Washington this week for meetings on Capitol Hill and elsewhere."
