Chertoff Defends Dubai Port Deal
Edited on Sun Feb-19-06 09:11 PM by louis c
here it is. The Homeland Security chief that fucked up the Katrina relief effort last year telling us outsourcing our port security to a company that is based in a nation that shields terrorists is just a peachy idea.

When, on the same day, Senators Barbara Boxer (D-California) and Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) agree that Bush is all but insane by approving this move, we know we have an issue. By the way, Graham's criticism is sharper than Boxer's, just to show you how this can affect Bush's base.

..."This move is a risk to our nation's infrastructure"...Boxer

"It's unbelievably tone deaf politically at this point in our history, four years after 9/11, to entertain the idea of turning port security over to a company based in the UAE who avows to destroy Isreal"....Graham

Keep posting. we have to get ahead of this issue so when Bush caves or the Dubai company pulls out, the dems get the credit for this move. We can't let the Repugs get out front, we have to lead.

Hillary is right on target, so let's give her our support.

1. but Grahm went on to say he has to look at it more--he did not sound
as convincing at this statement would lead us to believe.

2. This issue needs to be brought up again and again...
and every time they Republicans accuse us of being unpatriotic or traitors, we can throw this back at them, and then ask who really is looking after America's interest?

The Iraq war, in their view, is being fought "over there so it won't be fought here", but if we allow Dubai to control our ports, what prevents it from coming "over here", on a first cals passenger ticket?

4. The Neo Facist Regime is arrogant beyond any in US History.
Even sane Repubs know that this port issue is the last freakin' straw.

5. So now Homeland Insecurity Dir, Jerkoff wants kill off thousands more with
ship full terrorists bombs and US made Anthrax. I guess the 4500 killed in Katrina was not enough. May he burn in hell.
