I hope they feed you well and that they do not make you sleep in the cold without balnkets. I hope they let you exercise and watch movies. I hope your family members know your whereabouts and that they will be able to communicate. I hope you learn your lessons quickly and well and return back to a productive life as a good American. It is really sad that you fell in with such a disreputable pack. Good luck.

<sarcasm off>

2. HeeHee.
It would be funny ... except that they're building one about an hour and a half away. And I'll probably be assigned there after I complete jury duty callup - say by 3/15.

16. You are thinking maybe there will be anyone left to take care of that....?
They would sell our graves off for tract housing. Graveyards are usually nice rolling prime real estate properties without too many trees to remove these days.

After all...they will say: "Most folks request to be cremated...after the Dental Implantologists have taken your bones and tissue to sell off." After all who will know when your ashes are scattered.

:scared:

13. A knock on my door treated me to a group of shining faced young Baptists
Edited on Sun Feb-19-06 11:54 PM by KoKo01
who were inviting me to their church. Through the years I've had Mormons and 7th Day Adventists knock on my door and I've politely told them I had my own Church I belonged to and wasn't looking for more spiritual enlightenment.

I was NOT in a GOOD MOOD when this group of cheery young Baptist Evangelicals knocked on my door. It was after reading alot of really bad stuff on DU. I answered with reluctance and listened to some happy cheerful stuff ...it was all I could do to keep from telling them to get off my property or I would get my gun out. (I don't own a gun) and to ask them if they felt "coat hanger abortions and Rush Limbaugh were what their church was all about.)

I stopped myself from my evil thoughts of confrontation before they got into their sermonizing and thanked them for coming and told them I had a Church and was very comfortable with my beliefs and said I wished them well in their new church but I was in the middle of a phone call and had no time to talk more with them. They thanked me and went on to the next house.

I was horrified at my hostility to them...and felt badly that I'd lied to them about the "phone call I had to get back to" and worried...WHAT HAVE I BECOME?

But, after I thought about it I realized that they wanted my vote...they wanted my soul...they are NOT the Mormons or the 7th Dayers...they are my enemy.

Is this sick or not...

15. In NC the GOP Requests Church Directories/Article posted on BuzzFlash
In N.C., GOP Requests Church Directories

By Alan Cooperman
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, February 18, 2006; A19

The North Carolina Republican Party asked its members this week to send their church directories to the party, drawing furious protests from local and national religious leaders.

"Such a request is completely beyond the pale of what is acceptable," said the Rev. Richard Land, head of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.

During the 2004 presidential race, the Bush-Cheney campaign sent a similar request to Republican activists across the country. It asked churchgoers not only to furnish church directories to the campaign, but also to use their churches as a base for political organizing.

The tactic was roundly condemned by religious leaders across the political spectrum, including conservative evangelical Christians. Ten professors of ethics at major seminaries and universities wrote a letter to President Bush in August 2004 asking him to "repudiate the actions of your re-election campaign," and calling on both parties to "respect the integrity of all houses of worship."

Officials of the Republican National Committee maintained that the tactic did not violate federal tax laws that prohibit churches from endorsing or opposing candidates for office, and they never formally renounced it. But Land said he thought the GOP had backed down.

"I heard nothing further about it, so my assumption was that it stopped, at least at the national level," he said.

Yesterday, the Greensboro News & Record reported that the North Carolina Republican Party was collecting church directories, and it quoted two local pastors as objecting to the practice. The Rev. Richard Byrd Jr. of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Greensboro said anyone who sent in a directory "would be betraying the trust of the membership."

18. Halliburton's workin' on them . . . should be ready by the start of . . .
Bush's third term . . . or the extension of his second due to a "national state of emergency," whichever is easiest for them to pull off (I suspect the latter) . . .

Consentration moon
Over the camp in the valley
Consentration moon
Wish I was back in the alley
Will all of my friends still running free
Hair growing out every hole in me
American way
Threatened by us
Drag a few creeps
Away in a bus
American way
Prisoner: lock
Smash every creep
In the face with a rock.

You knew it all along, didn't you, Frank?
