"Thank God for George W. Bush."
Yet one more LTTE from the Bushbots this morning with that phrase. I realize it could be astroturf, but I think a lot of those letters come from the misguided and the gullible.

I wonder if the papers would publish a letter that says Bush is doing Satan's work?

Hey, they get their theo-political opinions published... why can't I get mine published?

'Thank God for George W. Bush'

I would like to say to Burt Bacharach and all the other Hollywood elites of his ilk, "Who are you guys?" You sit in your lofty mansions, looking down on the rest of us mortals espousing hate for our president. Did he lie about WMD? Did Tony Blair lie? Did Bill Clinton lie? How about John Kerry? Colin Powell? Many Democrats saw the same information, and were convinced Hussein had those weapons of mass destructions.

Bush has spoken of the bad intelligence that was relayed to him and was believed not only by him but many others. He has taken responsibility for his part in believing the erroneous information. You weren't listening! What do you want him to do – get down on his knees and grovel at your feet?

When Bacharach writes such lyrics as Who are these people who keep telling us lies? and Who are these people that destroy everything? And sell off the world for whatever it brings? (sung by Elvis Costello), he needs to look in the mirror to find out who is really doing the lying.

Who are you guys who wish to stick your heads in the sand and believe our enemies such as those who flew into the World Trade Center and blew up almost 3,000 Americans for no other reason than they hate us for what we are and for the democracy in which we live. These terrorists have murdered innocent people all over the world. They will do anything to stop the spread of democracy. This is not Vietnam – this is worldwide terrorism. You say “This is the future I'm leaving behind for these kids (and) we've really made a mess of it. . . . ” If everyone felt as Bacharach does, there will be no future for our kids. This is a war that will go on for a long time but a war we have to win.

Thank God for George W. Bush, willing to put his presidency on the line in order to keep this nation as safe as possible in today's world.

Is it because 1) the bots think alike or 2) someone's being paid to write these LTTE

2. Too bad they can't ask God for a comment...
it might go something like..."Don't try to pin that one on me. Floods, plague and pestilence, those I accept responsibility for, but bush is obviously the work of the devil...or a secret research lab deep in the bowels of Halliburton"

3. Easiest way to bust them
Google a few phrases from the letter (Besides the TGFGWB). If you turn up identical letters online, notify the newspaper and let them know the letter was plagiarized (use that word)- many of them hate this con.

Astroturf "Bush Praise" usually has a peculiar and unnatural syntax that becomes easy to identify ("The President has done a remarkable job..."). I have often wondered if this is because it originates from the same PR outfits and/or if there is some bizarre psychology behind it.

7. how about this psycho from the Anchorage Daily News?
Our safety, not the communications of terrorists, must get top priority

Nothing -- object or signal -- crossing an international border has an expectation of privacy. People who oppose the monitoring of the international communications of potential terrorists are fools. These people are plotting to kill us and our nation. If that means that the occasional call from a European prostitute to his clients in the United States is monitored or the call of an exporter of purloined blonde underage girls to Saudi Arabia, so what? The physical safety of our citizens should come before the sensibilities of people who are afraid to proclaim their proclivities in the streets. Unlike the seizure of an object, copying and monitoring deprive nobody of the use or possession of a communication.

Grant Edison Hunter, my late father, served as a shore patrolman and pharmacist mate at Pearl Harbor and later on the USS Alaska during World War II.

As he fought in his youth against Hitler and Tojo, we must fight now against Iran, Islam, Mexico, the United Nations, the European Union, Greenpeace and the Democratic Party to preserve our free way of life. As he opposed Hitler and Tojo, we must oppose Sen. Hillary Clinton, Rep. Virginia Foxx, George Soros, Osama bin Laden, Sen. Barbara Boxer, Al Gore, Sen. Edward Kennedy, Sen. John Kerry, Rep. John Murtha and Rep. Nancy Pelosi. This requires comprehensive electronic monitoring of these enemies and their supporters.

10. Headline News: Intelligent Designer rejects Bush.
Often confused with "God", the Intelligent Designer, or ID as his friends know him, has denied any involvement in the 2000 or 2004 Presidential Elections.

"As the cheif architect of the universe, I have from time to time, nudged the wheel of fate. A tweek here, an adjustment there, the purpose of that interference, of course is to keep all the pieces of the grand puzzle falling presicely where they need to. I just want you to know though, I had no part in the rigging of the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections. That was all Bush's people, hell I did my best to stop them, but all the pooches got screwed on that one. The best I could manage in 2000 was clueing the BBC in on that Voter Purge List in Florida. And in 2004, well hell, they had done there level best to cover there tracks with the no paper trail thing... but I did manage to raise a few red flags with the Exit Polls.

It should have worked as well in the US as it had in the Chezch Republic a few months later... but only a very brave few would actually report the damn story!! It's so frustrating. I'm damn near all powerful, and omnicient, but THIS Fucker is botching everything. His pissed all over the grand design. He could end up destroying everything I've spent billions of years maintaining. You guys have got one more chance to set things right. That's right I'm talking about 06 baby... I've give you plenty of ammo, alot has been brought to light since November 04. And there still scratching there asses wondering who the leaker is... Here's a clue, he's an all powerful omnicient who doesn't answer to a dimwitted boy-king.

Your my last hope DU, make me proud, I'm giving you lots of help this time. I'm warning you though, if you can't wrest control of this country from the hands of these tyrant, I'll soon be destroying this universe and starting over, and I like this universe too."

16. THANK GOD FOR GEORGE W. BUSH
Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 04:10 AM by Warchild
So, I googled "thank God for GB" and what did I get? Some mentally ill Bible thumping asshat telling me to thank God for not only George Shithead Bush, but his skanky daughters too.

THANK GOD FOR GEORGE W. BUSH
Important Bible Command for God's Praying People

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (1 Tim 2:1-2).

Democrats falsely accuse and abuse President George W. Bush. Even some conservative Christians harshly condemn him. There may be reasons to criticize our President, but there are many, many reasons to thank God for him and all he has done. Scripture urges us both to intercede and offer thanks for our President. We ought to do both, often.

Bush is a great leader. He has vision, intuition, strong core values; he builds trust and alliances, communicates, is disciplined, gets good people and lets them do their job.

He defends U.S. national sovereignty and refused to subject Americans to the International Criminal Court. He abandoned the Soviet ABM Treaty to build a missile defense system to protect America's mainland. He rejected the Kyoto (global warming) Treaty.

He kept his tax cut promises (impacting the economy for years to come). His Mid-East policy has anti-Israel Arab nations on notice. He refuses to deal with Yasser Arafat. Via a restored Mexico City policy, he has defunded organizations that support abortion abroad. He'll defend the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and promises to uphold traditional marriage.

Bush has made excellent judicial appointments. He was courageous to appoint Attorney General John Ashcroft and has made other good cabinet and agency appointments (e.g., Donald Rumsfeld). He rejects all human cloning at home and abroad (Bush appointees heroically led the U.N. cloning battle).

The President has been a remarkable leader in the war against terrorism and is a great Commander in Chief to our men in arms!

He is a bold believer in Jesus Christ whose private life supports his profession (i.e., no more White House SCANDALS)....and much more.
Conservatives dislike certain popular measures Bush has supported. But what if Al Gore, Howard Dean or Hillary Clinton was President? Unless God sends REVIVAL, America will likely never elect a better President than G.W. Bush. From God's view, he may be much better than we deserve. As we gather with our families on Thanksgiving Day, may we be thankful to God for President Bush and every other God-fearing leader with whom He has blessed us.

Please Join Us in Prayers of Thanksgiving:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for President George W. Bush, Laura Bush & their children. Preserve & Protect them. May he hear Your voice, honor Your Word & lead our nation in a righteous path.

Thank you for God fearing leaders at all levels of government. In Jesus Name, Amen (1 Chr 7:8-36; Ps 50:14-17; Jon 2:7Col 3:17; 1 Th 5:16-18; Rev 7:11-12).

25. QUOTE "B*sh is a great leader..."
"Bush is a great leader.
He has vision,
intuition,
strong core values;
he builds trust and alliances,

Is there a single item in that quote which is not utterly incorrect?
If so, I don't see it.

There truly is no hope for some of these sleepwalkers.

Most of the letters, believe it or not , are anti-bush. 95-96% lately i would say. Then someone goes off their meds, slips the home and drops this cow pat on us:

Daily News letters

Published: February 20, 2006

Liberal left defiles good Americans' memories by using deaths for hate

With every passing moment, the liberal leftists in this country continue to demonstrate their disregard for the preciousness of life. And I'm not even talking about the abortionists. They have vilified the memory of Terry Schiavo. They have vilified the memory of Casey Sheehan (that's right, I just said it). They now have vilified the memory of Coretta Scott King, and they continue to vilify the memories of our fallen heroes heeding the call of duty in Iraq.

How? By standing on their corpses and using their deaths as a platform from which to spew their hatred. I'd like to have said "forward their ideas," but that wouldn't be true because the liberal left has no ideas. Howard Dean said it himself. All the mainstream Democrats have is hatred. Hatred for our president. Hatred for our military. Hatred for God. Hatred for all that is good and just. Hatred for democracy and, last but not least, hatred for our Constitution. That's why they use their judges to overturn the massive winning popular vote against gay marriage in California and why they pray and pay tribute to the George Soros crowd. That is communism. That is a social oligarchy. And that is the mainstream liberal Democratic left. Love me or hate me, I'm right.

---- Jacob LoMonaco

Anchorage

Amazing. I would love to pee on his lawn. :)
